<1 week later>
Black Diamond stared at her ship. It was a glorious pair of black legs that seemed to be painted. She noticed several small pink spots scattered across the ship, but Black couldn't care less. It was her own ship! She could go anywhere she wanted to!
"Wow! I'm so excited for my first colony!" Black shouted happily, jumping up and down on the runway. Various Peridots were working on their final adjustments for Black's ship, and, despite the distractions, they paid no attention to the tall black gem.
"Quiet, Black! You'll distract the Peridots!" whispered White Diamond.
"O-oh, right, sorry," she stuttered nervously.
White sighed and looked back up at the ship, "Well? What are you waiting for? Get in!"
"I don't know how to..." stated Black.
White sighed, "I knew I was forgetting something,"
"O-oh! It's working!" She called out when she was suddenly surrounded by a black orb that eventually merged into the leg ship.
"My Diamond, we had forgotten about the... thing," reminded one of the Peridots.
Incompetent Peridots... how swell... thought White.
"Give me the coordinates to the star system and I'll make my way there within the next few years!" shouted Black from the cabin of the ship that was facing her superior.
"White, are you sure this is going to work? She was just created a week ago," questioned Yellow Diamond.
"Oh, I'm sure," answered White, a smirk spreading across her face.

"Wow, I'm several hundred light years away still... how far away is this star?" muttered Black Diamond, who was now in the deep abyss of interstellar space. The stars weren't twinkling as the legends said, they were flashing their lights consistently.

Black Diamond finally reached the star. It was a red dwarf that was orbiting a blue supergiant and a yellow dwarf. "I wasn't told that it was orbiting two other stars. Hey, it's a triplet system!" she giggled.
