RONAN

What Now?

Aphmau's POV

My world shattered around me, leaving me in a dark room. I stayed there, in that room. for what felt like hours for me, was not. When I returned to reality, it had only been a few seconds. I turn to Aaron.

"W-what now?" I ask, looking up into Aarons eyes, unable to keep the quiver out of my voice.

Katelyn sighs, setting her clipboard in her lap and putting her hands over her face. she splits two of her fingers enough to see out, looking straight at me.

"Look, Aph, I'm going to be honest with you, there is a shot in it's clinical trials designed to stop the Toxoplasmosis from getting to the baby, but it hasn't been used yet on humans. It comes out out on Tuesday. I don't trust it, but that's my opinion." she sighs.

"We have to try," I whisper. 

"As a doctor, Aphmau, I highly suggest that you don't get involved with a clinical trial that involves a baby, it could get killed before it even gets the chance to live!" she takes her hand away from her eyes, revealing her blue eyes and the many dark rings around her eyes. 

"In any case, my shift is up. I'm leaving, if you guys stay in the city for a while longer, maybe we could go out somewhere sometime?" she stands to leave.

"Y-yeah, sure!" I supply, watching her as she leaves. Iturn back to Aaron and see that he's biting his lip so hard it's bleeding. 

"AARON!" He looks at me, and stares at me for a little bit.

"A-aph... What now?"

( TIME SKIP BABY!)

Aaron's POV

It was silent in the car the entire way to the hotel room. 

When we got to the hotel room, we just sat there on the bed.

After a while I broke the silence.

"Do we go or do we risk it?" I ask, and realize that I wasn't the only person who was lost in focus.

"I think... I think we see them." she said, chewing on her bottom left side of her lip.

"But... what happens if the baby dies?"

"What happens if it doesn't?"

"I would like to think so, but the chances of it dying are worse than the chances of it dying to a defect."

"I don't want our baby to... to have to suffer through that Aaron."

"and I just want us to have a baby, Aphmau."

"Aaron, I'm going to see them tomorrow, you cant stop me." A wisp of anger in her voice this time.

"Aph-"

"NOPE! No buts! Tomorrow at noon."

Aphmau's POV

It was quiet the entire morning. neither of us spoke to each other, but I had a feeling he didn't want to talk anyways. It was almost noon, so I was getting ready to leave. Aaron walks up behind me as I'm getting ready and places his hand on my belly. I know that my face just turned dark pink and I look to the floor to hide it. 

"I just want what's best for Ronan. If this is it, if this is the only way then so be it." Aaron whispers.

"Ronan?" I ask. He named him? He removes his hands from my abdomen but still stays behind me.

"Why? Is there something wrong with it?" He seems to understand my confusion.

"What if its a girl?"
