Aphmau's POV

Well, lest I say I never expected last weeks events. We both decided that the best option for now would be to start setting up some security systems, just in case. We had the systems shipped in, rather than us going out. We assume what happened last week would be on the news but it wasn't, seeing as they don't want to be shown as weak, since we are in "The worlds trying times," as the president recalled. In any case, Ronan has been a stressful baby, I've spent  so much time to take care of him that even if Aaron needed my help, I wouldn't be able to help anyways. I hear the front door open, and close. It was around noon right now.

"Home," Aaron grunts. I bound down the stairs to greet him,  forgetting Ronan upstairs.

"Another tiring day of work?" I say, looking at him with 'The Face' and a silly voice.

"I just want to collapse." He responds, walking over to the couch- and doing just that.

I slide in right next to him, and he leans his head onto my shoulder.

"Then you don't want to watch the news," I say. He becomes alert, and I hand him the remote, him turning it on.

"Killer on the loo-" A click, and a new channel.

"A group called the Human Brotherhood want-" Click.

"Brotherhood killed another freak, as they call-" Click.

"Ardian Forces have made no action upon the Brotherhood, nor has the poli-" He growled as he turned it off, leaning more into my shoulder as he sighed heavily.

"They likely wont get involved. They don't care about the superhumans either. They're just using them as a tool." Aaron says after awhile. I pick up his head gently and move him off of me.

"I need to go get Ronan." I go up the stairs and pick up Ronan, cradling him in my arms as I bring him downstairs with us. I hear a knock from the door

"We need to have a little talk." I hear, an oddly familiar voice.

"Go away." Aaron calls from the couch.

I walk up to the door, hidden from view, and when I see who it is I dropped to the floor, still holding Ronan.

"Who is it? Aaron asks me."

"I-I-It's E-E-E-" I stammer.

"Who?"

"Ein!"

Aarons POV

"Ein!" My entire body shakes, quivers, a chill running down my spine. I slowly walk up to the door.

"YOU are supposed to be DEAD!" I exclaim, standing behind the door.

"Yes, I was. That's why we need to talk."

"Ah, I see. You kill my wife and when I kill you back, you come back to life and want to TALK?!"

Ein sighs.

"Listen. I'm not asking you to come out here and have a chat over some lemonade on a nice summer day, I'm asking you to stay behind that closed door with Aphmau and talk to me on days as grim as winter in the middle of summer." He explains.

"I'm only going to ask once. Why are you here? And then get off my PRIVATE island! Irene! Is it even private anymore?" I say, getting ready for a fight.

"Apparently, I might be wasting my time here. You've heard of the Human Brotherhood right?"

"Yes, I've heard of them."

"I have info, but I'm not going to say it out loud in public."

"Right, because apparently now my private island isn't so private anymore." I say.
