Aphmau's POV

He watched in horror as he looked down at my fist, twisted in his solar plexus.

"S-Super...Freak..." Ace said.

"Aphmau! Do you realize what you've just done!" Aaron runs beside me, attempting to comfort me. I'm mad. I don't care.

"No toucheth... the baby." I say. When I look up, I see guns pointed at my face.

"Well, now I've realized what I've done." I reply. I slowly raise my hands which removes my hand from his chest, causing ace to fall like a pile of rocks. Aaron does the same.

"You do know we're going to have to kill you now, especially since you killed our leader," He nods to ace's body lying on the ground. Did I kill him?

"You could try, but I can slow time down enough to make bullets move like paper." I respond, trying to keep my voice even. He raises his eyebrows but says nothing more. I slow time, I found out that I can do it by biting my lip. The pain's not much.

"Defensive Barrier! Time Shattering Punch!" A purple-white, swirling barrier surrounds me as I run towards the first person, and my fist begins to blur in and out of time.

Ein dives into the water as Aaron turns into his Ultima form, and let's say the fight did not fare well for the pontoon of powerless men, either having claw marks or burns, some both. When all seemed done, you could see the last few men pulling up on a smaller boat, them holding Ronan.

"What the h-" He was cut off because Ein had rammed his boat into theirs.

"You're not allowed to have fun without me!" Ein exclaims.

"Ein! The baby!" I scream, but it's too late, and I'm too tired to reach him.

The boat comes to a tearing stop like metal was being stripped from the boat's hull. The baby was completely unscathed. A purple-blue barrier falls away from him, and his eyes look straight into my soul. I fall backward into the earth, waking in a vast dark room. I see Ronan walk up to me on his two little legs. Babies aren't supposed to walk at two weeks.

"Mommy, who were those people?" Babies definitely aren't supposed to be able to talk at two weeks.

"They were evil people, and they wanted to take you away from us."

"That's not true, mommy. They pointed those black sticks at you and daddy." I'm having. A. Conversation. With my two-week-old baby.

"We were fighting them because they wanted to take you, Ronan."

"Who is Ronan?"

"You, Baby Ronan. Also, where are we? Do you have any idea?"

"Ronan, hmm. Ok. Oh! Yes! We are inside your brain."

"My... WHAT?"

"I don't know, mommy. You can leave anytime you want, that's all I know." And with that, I opened my eyes to see Aaron looking at me.

"What just-"

"AARON! I TALKED TO RONAN! He was inside my brain!" He looked obviously confused.

"Alright then. you sure you didn't hit your head and imagined it?" He asked.

"No, it wasn't like before, I could feel things. It was real, Aaron."

"And another thing to add to my 'what is going on' list," Aaron muttered.

I'm too tired to argue, and I feel a wave of drowsiness wash over my head as I begin to close my eyes.

Aaron's POV

"Ein, go wash up. I'm going to get Aph to bed." He looks uncomfortable as he stands there.

"Hey uh, Aaron?"

"What's up?" I ask, frowning.

"What happened back there... Uh." He stops. I smile at his obvious discomfort.

"I know what you're thinking." Aph doesn't like killing anyone. I don't like it either but things are the way they are, and we just made ourselves a target.

"Are... are we cool?" He asks.

"If it were up to me, I would love to put you 6 feet underground." He looks in horror and backs up a step.

"But, its not up to me. It's up to the person who's only alive right now because of a miracle. So, if she's cool with it, then I'm going to have to at least attempt to be cool with it. In either case, I'm going to be watching you." I say, and watch as Ein stands, and walks to the guest bedroom. I bring Aphmau upstairs and lay her into bed.

I then walk downstairs and make a cup of coffee.

Sometimes, the worst things happen so that the best things can come.
