chapter two

EMILY SIGHS SOFTLY AS she steps into the class she dreaded more than anything on a monday morning,
"excuse me?" a female voice speaks out to the platinum blonde who looks behind her, a small smile appearing on her lips, "hey, what's up?" she asks with a slightly raised brow, "uh i'm ginny miller, and i'm new here. and i just wanted to ask where this classroom was," the female speaks out to emily, who looks down at the sheet of paper and she smiles slightly - "right here, we're in the same class" she says with a polite smile while ginny smiles gently and nods -
"i'm emily williams,"
ginny admired the bleached blonde and nods, "ginny as you know already, nice to meet you emily," she says gently, walking into the classroom and the two girls sat next to each other at the back.
an hour later and a heavy sigh slips past emily's mouth, "that class is a dread every week, don't think it'll get any better," she says in a sarcastic tone to ginny who chuckles softly as she walks besides the bleached blonde down the hallway - "hey maxine!" the female speaks out, a brunette female running over to her and wrapping her arms around her - "emilyyy!! why didn't you come over this weekend?" a frown appears on maxine's lips as she looks at the female who smiles softly, "my sister came back from college, sorry, i'll definitely be over this weekend though," she says gently to maxine, rubbing her back before the brunette nodded excitedly and let the bleached haired walk to her locker.
"marcus," emily speaks up as she looks up at the male, who turns around and smiles down at the female, "hey emi," he says gently, causing emily's cheek to flush - "ah, this is ginny, she's in my english," emily introduces the female, marcus' eyes widen ever so slightly but he smiles politely, "i know, she's my new neighbour," he says, ginny smiling shyly with flushed cheeks and emily looks over at her with frowned brows - "oh, so she's that neighbour's daughter?," the female asks with a small chuckle, unlocking her locker and putting her english books in there.
"yeah, the one who stole our weed," marcus jokes, ginny's eyes widening, "oh i'm so sorry- that must've been my mum," the girl apologies and emily smiles politely, "no worries at all ginny, it was marcus' cash anyways," the platinum blonde jokes softly, smiling as she glances at the clueless brunette male who raises his eyebrows, "you chatting shit about me again williams?" he asks with a small smirk,
emily shakes her head as she looks at the male, chuckling softly as he attempts to tickle her waist - "s-stop!" she says, pushing the male's hands away - ginny watched the pair confused, her eyebrows raising in surprise, "you guys close?" she asks the pair with a polite grin, emily's eyes glancing over at her before she hummed,
"been friends since the sandpit days," the american female says, marcus slinging his arm around her shoulder, "unfortunately for me yeah," marcus says with a small smirk, emily rolling her eyes -
the pair separate as the bell rings, "come on ginny, i'll help you find your next class," emily says in a polite tone, glancing over at marcus who smiles at the girl and waved her away before he walks away to his class -
ginny and emily walk down the hallway after the platinum blonde locked her locker, "a-are you guys dating?" ginny asks, emily's eyes widening slightly as her heart skips a beat, "no no, we're not," she says with a small chuckle, ginny nodding and almost sighing in relief.
huh?...relief? emily tried to ignore the brewing thoughts in her mind as she glances down at the girl's timetable.
