Chapter 3 Long way home

I woke up the next day in my bed.  I yawned and got out of bed.

" Karen where getting pulled into an island. '' Said josh. I gasped and ran to the sails and pulled them down we where pulled away from the island. I let go of the rope that was holding up the sail closing it.  I grabbed the Anchor from the side of my room Which was a brick. That was next to multiple bricks. I put the brick on railing and pushed it over the side. And into the water. I held onto the rope and tied it on the railing, So the ship wouldn't move. I held my wings out and flew up. I picked up Josh by his armpits and flew him to the dock. There was a little town there that had shops.

" I'm starving so let's get some food." I said.

" With what money." Said josh. I held up his money pouch. He checked his pockets.

" Is that mine?." He said shocked.

" Maybe." I said with a smile.

" You darn sea urchin, give me back my money." Said Josh, grabbing it from my hands. I shrugged and walked past a costume store. I stopped looking at it. Josh ran into me.

" Owch." Said josh.

" Look." I said.

" No..no I'm not going to become a pirate." Said josh. I pushed josh by his back into the costume store and told them that he needs a pirate costume. I ran out of the store and sat down on a park bench that was in front of the store. He walked out in a captain pirate purple clothes. With a real sword by his waste. He even had a cape with a purple feather hat.

" I told them not to include the hat." He said throwing the hat back in the store.  His air was covered in a bandana. With beads in his long hair. He had no beard. His boots looked nicer than mine.  I blushed a little.

" What's wrong, did they do something to my face?. Or are you finally falling for me." He said, looking at me. I pushed him in the face, making him have a bloody nose.

" Owch!." Shouted josh. Covering his nose.

" There was a fly on your face and I think I got it. Let's continue walking. I said, grabbing his hand and pulling him away from the shop. Suddenly I saw a rare sight. It was a unicorn's in a pin just waiting to be free. I unlocked the pin and picked up josh and put him on the back of a purple one, with wight hair. I got on the back of one that was wight with a green and blue main and tail.

" Freedom!. Hang on tight back there." I shouted. The unicorns bolted out of the pin and followed me and Josh. The unicorns ran out of the city and onto the magical Forest.

" I've never ridden on a unicorn before."Shouted  Josh.

" Give us are unicorn's." Shouted someone behind us. I flew off the unicorn's back. And stopped in front of the people chasing after us. Letting the unicorns go. Josh fell off the side of the unicorn. And ran behind me and hid. I held my wings up to look bigger. The people stopped their horses and the one in front neighed holding its two feet in the air and slammed it's hooves on the ground.The person who was in front. on the horse's back got down. He pulled his sword from his side and pointed it at my neck, And said,

" Why am I not surprised to see Karen the pirate last of her kind here stealing unicorn's and freeing them. Don't you ever get tired of being caught." Said the people that stopped us who work as guards of the castle.

" Who's to say you ever caught me." I said. Suddenly my tail appeared. I tripped them and blew fire at the ground making it hard for them to get to us. I picked up Josh by the armpits. and flew away. We got back to the herd of unicorns  they where eating grass far far away from the town. I put Josh back down on the ground. I almost landed on my face but I caught my self by running a few steps. I my tail was on fire but it didn't hurt. For me that was normal. It was a blue flame. The unicorns ran away as soon as they saw us far away from view.  Josh came over to me and said.

" Is there something you are not telling me. I thought you said you and your parents escaped." Said josh.

" I grabbed medicine for my emergency pouch that was inside my jacket. It was a tiny bottle of that pink liquid. I had hundreds of them in my emergency pocket. I grabbed one and drank all of it and put it back in my pocket. Inside my jacket. My tail disappeared into thin Air.

" Do you really want to know?" I said.

" Yes. We are friends after all right.'' he said.

" Ok.. back when the war was still going between my home and humans. I was a kid not older than 4 years old. There was an attack on my people. In the middle of the night. My dad picked me up and took me out of the house we ran with mom out of the village. We were coming to the point where we need to fly out of the village. Because our village is on a sky rock that floats in mid air. They were connected to the Earth by Vines so they won't Float away. The Vines were seaweed. And underneath us was water.  We almost made it. And we were stopped by humans that had swords pointing right at us. Dad gave me to Mom and picked her up and threw her over the edge so she could fly away. She caught the air and flew away. I didn't know what happened to Dad. Suddenly an arrow hit her and I fell through the air unable to fly. And fell into the water. I was rescued by some pirates that took me in. And I was raised to be a pirate. So I do have parents, it's just that they're not my biological parents. And they happen to be the king and queen of the sea.

Josh was speechless.

" But what about the stuff you keep drinking to make your tail disappear." Said Josh.

" As a teen I was cursed. I took something that was from a wizard and he cursed me to become a dragon for all for all eternity. And the stuff that I keep drinking keeping me human is not nice I should say. It's unicorn hair that is smashed into little pieces. and mixed with rosebuds and dragon scales. It's not really that good. But it keeps my curse at Bay." I said
