When the monsters came to the surface, they treated Frisk like a queen.

But not Sans.

Sans knew the truth.

But when he tried to tell the others about resets and genocides, they all thought that he was selfish and jealous. So they all cut ties with him. Even Papyrus.

One morning, he woke up, went downstairs in the house they were all living in, and saw that they were gone.

What broke his heart the most is that Papyrus had left a letter telling Sans how mad he was at him.

Sans ended up moving to a different house in a small town, because he did not know where the other monsters were. The new house was nice, with woods stretching out back far into the distance. He also got a job as checkout worker. Because the town was so small, all the people knew each other, and they all knew Sans. When they first saw him, they were a little scared, but now they were used to him, and they actually really liked him!

Except for some people who got annoyed by his puns.

-------------------BACK TO THE PRESENT-------------------

Sans sighed. It had been a long day at work. The town karen, named Hilda, had tried to convince him to give her her groceries for free.

Luckly, his boss had intervened before she tried to attack him.

Yep, just a normal day at work.

Sans opened the door, and walked into his house. It was relatively big, besides for him living alone. He walked up the stairs, flopped on his bed, and fell into a deep, dreamless sleep.

That is, until he was awoken by the shattering of his window.
