Sans woke with a jolt. He had heard someone smash his window downstairs.

So, being curious, he went downstairs. He was careful to peak around the staircase so that if there was anyone there, they would not see him.

He was not expecting to see a girl with black hair and a white mask standing in a pool of glass shards. Remarkably, she had no cuts or bruises whatsoever.

He continued to watch her, not daring to make a peep. He did not know what she was capable of. And she was standing over the knives.

Then something snapped in his mind.

Why should he care whether he lived or died? No one else did.

Also, it may have just been his perspective, but she looked hungry. How that was possible with a mask, he did not know.

So, leaving his hiding place from behind the stairs, he walked over to her, casually leaned on the counter, and said,"Hey, want some tea and chocolate(he had a supply from Error)?"

The girl whipped around. She clearly had thought she was either alone, or maybe she thought he was asleep. Anyways, the sight of another being shocked her.

After a couple minutes of just staring at him, she spoke. Her voice was soft, but had a certain raspiness to it.

"Just tea, please."

Sans marveled for a moment at how polite she was, considering she had just broken into his house, and based on the knife in her hand, she had been expecting to kill.

He casually walked over to the tea pot and started a new brew. While waiting for the water to boil, he sat down at his table.

"Come sit down with me, kiddo. I feel like a sticking-out bone sitting down all by myself."

(I'm so sorry for the bad pun. Please forgive me)

The girl walked over and sat down rather stiffly.

"So, kid, what's your name?"

"Tell me yours first."

Sans smiled.

"It's Sans. Sans the skeleton. I am one of the monsters that came from the underground."

She nodded, and apparently deciding to trust him, spoke.

"My name's Jane. Jane the killer."
