Independent (Jennie POV)

I couldn't hate lisa even after she said that hurtful words straight to my face. Well its painful ofcourse. But I try to understand, its not completely her fault. I don't blame her. The only mistake that she did was making a wrong friends. Even she hurt me, I still dearly in love with her. I still think that she's a wonderful person. And I still love everything about her even her flaws. I know she misunderstood the whole situation and I'm still here waiting for her to take me back.

The day after lisa chased me out. Kai was trying to make an effort to talk to me in the kitchen, but I was too angry that I yelled at him asking for him to leave. I feel so annoyed by his obnoxious act. Thankfully he didn't fight back and let me be. I feel so sad that now I couldn't longer touch and see lisa. Our relationship was messed up by somebody. Now she hates me so much that she leave. I wish I could show her the the truth but she wouldn't listen. Maybe someday we'll be back together again. So at the end I pack all of my stuff and leave without a trace. I think lisa need some space to think carefully about that incident. I know sooner or later the truth will be uncovered. And I will be waiting for the day where lisa would come back into my embracement.

I was walking at the side of the road with my luggage with me. It was almost sunset and I feel exhausted thinking about what's going to happen between me and lisa next. I missed her. All of her. Suddenly I saw a company van stopping next to me. I was kinda surprised. "Hey! where you going? Its getting dark! Its too dangerous to walk here alone" she stated looking concerned. "I.." was the only word that came out of my mouth. I don't know what to say. I was lost and confused. I could only slightly shaking my head as an answer. I felt like I'm about to cry since I don't know what to do. "My name is irene, and the driver next to me is seulgi, my girlfriend. We're actually from a elegant foods company. Come! hop in! Don't worry we're nice people" she explained. Since I was too tired to think I just follow her words.

I came to learned they are actually a very nice and supportive people. They are the one who help me build up my career. Honestly I never expect that someday I will become a chef. And it happened. For a while, all of these distracting me from thinking about lisa. I know some of you might think she don't deserve me. Call me stupid, but I still love her. I couldn't control myself and my emotion. Eventhough how harsh she act towards me, but still I'm selfish enough wanting only her as my lifetime partner. I'm not gonna lie, there are few guys trying to hit on me. But my heart already engraved with lisa's name.

Irene and seulgi never know whats happening on me. I never tell them anything. I only told them that I had a fight with my girlfriend and its my fault. I don't want them to look down on lisa. As much as lisa protecting me from the start, so I'm going to protect her including her reputation until the end. Maybe I was just being too nice, but its just I love her too much that I don't want anybody to hate her.

"Jennie, we need to be ready this coming sunday, there will be a lot of respectful guest. This is our chance to spread the company's wings" Irene told as I was preparing some dishes in the hotel's kitchen. I smiled to her before I speak. "Got it boss!" I gave salute trying to teased her. Maybe half teasing her since she's the boss, she's the manager of this company. "Stop it! I'm being serious" she replied while giggling. "Oh here. Another from your regular customer" she handing a bouquet of flowers to me as she continue speaking. She smirked while wiggling her eyebrow. I could only sighed. Would be nice if its come from lisa. I thought. To let you know actually our company handling a food menu to any big events. Just like a cateering service. And right now, our company has a 3 years contract to handle the hotel's kitchen. So my current workplace is in this hotel. We recently getting big since they help me developing my cooking skills. And our menu was slowly being recognised by some other client. I'm really happy working with them. They know how to appreciate hard work from the employees. Due to their generous treatment, I managed to own a place and a car. And I'm actually proud of myself.

It was sunday as I was busy preparing a dish for the guests outside. It seems like they like our menu since we keep on refilling a foods in an empty tray. "Jennie the desserts is almost finished" irene came as she rushly opening the kitchen door informing me what need to focus on next. "okey! coming right up!" I replied enthusiastically. The kitchen room were in chaos and everyone was busy preparing the foods to be served. It was intense and nerve wrecking but since we got a lot complement. It light up our mood to improve more.

2 hours later everything started to calm down, I'm still doing my job focusing on making a desserts. I really enjoyed being in a kitchen. Its like my second home. A moment later irene came interupting me again. "It seems like you got a new admirer" she said while smirking. I was confused by her statement. "Huhh?" was only my respond to her. Soon I divert my eyes back to the deserts infront of me and just decorating. "There's a girl peeking at you just now by that door" she added while pointing at the kitchen front door. I don't know why but I don't find it interesting to talk about. So I just let it slide.

Today was such a busy day but I was having fun in the kitchen!
