Epilogue - New York (Jennie POV)

I'm safe. That's how I felt in Lisa's embracement. 3 years marrying her there's not even a single day she's neglecting me. She'll make sure I'm complete and just happy. I never expect that someday I would becoming someone's wife. Especially someone as beautiful as lisa. I'm literally marrying my life saviour.

The fate being really generous and fair towards us. We're literally completing each other's part in our daily life basis. She didn't lie when she said she'll keep me safe. And she still keep her promise until now. I'm so grateful with what I have right now.

Few days ago I got an offer to attend 3 years course overseas to upgrade my education level. I haven't discuss it with lisa yet. Honestly I really want it so bad. Since cooking is my passion. But when I think about lisa, I'm feeling unsure with my decision. So I was planning to tell her tonight.

It was 8pm as we had our dinner in the dining area. To be honest I'm not sure how should I start the topic. I felt worried and anxious. But then lisa realised with my states. "Honey you okey? You seems uncomfortable" she asked showing her concerned. I was kinda hesitate at first but I brace myself to speak. "Hmm. There's something I want to tell you" carefully I look at her respond. She put a small smile on her face before she asked again "okey. What is it?" her voice sound gentle and calm. Somehow its soothing my emotion a little bit. "I.. Umm. Got an offer to attend 3 years course in new york" for a second she looks stunned. I can see her gulping before she replied back to me. "thats great! Umm you should grab the opportunity" she stated but I can definitly feel her true feelings. She's scared.

"You think so?" I checked her once again. She smiled but I could sense the sadness in her voice. "um ofcourse. If it makes you happy, than I'm tolerating" I stared into her eyes for a bit. Her eyes looks gloomy in a way. It breaks my heart. "Um. When will the course start?" she continued. "2 months from now" Directly I answered her question. She put a smile but it didn't reach her eyes. "Well maybe we should start make a preparation. I'll make a list for you" she suggested. I can hear her breathy tone as she speak. "Hon you sure you okey with this? I won't take it if you don't want me to" I told softly.

It took almost a minute for her to give a feedback. "You know. I already made a promise to keep you safe. And if you're in new york. Then who's going to take care of you there?". We spend our night lying in bed without a words. I know lisa mind probably busy worrying about me. She probably puzzled and confused.

The next day we had another same conversation again. This time she's the one who started it. "Honey about your course. I think I have an idea. And I think it will be good for both of us" I just keep quiet listening her plan. "So since its a 3 years course. Obviously I don't think I could live here alone without you. So I've come to a conclusion that I'm going to follow you to new york!" I was surprised by her decision. I mean it didn't seems to be like a simple plan. "hon you sure about this? How about your job here?" Warily I asked. "we'll figure it out later. You don't have to feel worry about anything since I have friend that could offer me a part time job in new york!" she stated looking proud. I smiled softly to her knowing how much she's willing to sacrifies everything for me.

We spend 3 years in new york. And I'm not gonna denied, its hard at first to get adapt to live in some other country. And we also had a fight like few times just like some other couple. But we managed to stick together until I finally finished the course. The time we get back home, I started to open a small cafe with lisa. And I decided to name it as 'pearl in the sea'. Its actually a metaphor on how we met each other by chance. And I'm so happy that my life is wholly perfect.

So this is how my life changed. The moment I found lisa, I'm spoiled with happiness. And I will make sure to stay with her until the end.
