Lil Disaster

Part 3 - Memories

It was the day they were ready to head out to the labs. The camp was packed up and Ronald was getting his jeep ready. But Nate was uneasy with it as he never saw anything like it.

Nate: Umm...

Amilia was setting up the safety seat for him but noticed how nervous he was. Margaret noticed as well as she came to the jeep with her bags.

Margaret: His reaction makes sense. His people never had vehicles other than canoes. They didn't even have tamed animals to ride.

Amilia: This may be more difficult than we thought.

Then Ronald revved up the engine. Nate was freaked out by it.

Nate: AHHH!!!

Then his marks turned yellow and storm clouds appeared above. Ronald then got out and ran to Nate.

Ronald: NO!! Not the jeep! Please do not destroy the jeep!!!

Amilia then ran to Nate and hugged him.

Amilia: <It's alright, Nate! Calm down!>

It took a few moments to calm down and his storm clouds disappeared.

Ronald: AH thank goodness! Sorry to yell it's just I'm proud of this jeep.

Arturo went up and smacked Ronald on the back of the head.

Arturo: Next time, give a warning when you're going to start the engine when the kid is here. He's freaked out enough already.

Ronald: OW! Sorry, I didn't think...

Amilia: Forget it, guys! Let's just try to get Nate in the seat.

Later, they were all in the jeep driving down the road with other trucks with their equipment and other team members behind. Ronald was driving with Arturo in the front seat. Amilia, Nate, and Margaret were in the back. Nate was hooked up to the safety seat though he was not liking how tight he was. Amilia was holding his hand the whole time to keep him calm about the jeep moving. Of course, he was still uneasy and storm clouds were hovering around the jeep.

Ronald: Really could do better driving without all these clouds to be worried about.

Amilia: Believe me, it was hard enough to get Nate this calm.

Margaret: This stuff in our time is still new to him. Not just modern stuff but he doesn't even remember much outside that temple.
