Chapter 35 | RD

A few months ago, he was declared as a missing person. His name is all over the news and his family couldn't find him anywhere. Unless if I told them what I do to his body. I was sitting at the edge of the sofa while watching the news about my ex-boyfriend.

I saw in my peripheral vision that Lynch was sitting beside me. Inakbayan niya ako at napangiti naman ako. Sobrang bango ngayon ni Lynch dahil bagong ligo lang siya. He smells like aftershave.

"Naawa ako sa magulang ni Joshua. They're desperate to find Joshua," he began.

I smirked when I cock my head to see his facade. Tinungga ko na yung red wine at nilapag siya sa round table. Maski si Tita nagleave ng message sa akin at gusto ako tanungin. Syempre hindi ko pinansin kasi wala naman ako pakielam sa kanila.

"How did you met him? Paano nagsimula pagiging magkaibigan niyo?"

He licked his bottom lips. "Well, he's not really my friend to be honest. Siya yung fiance ni Chloe."

Tumatango ako para bang interesado ako alamin kung ano ang nalalaman niya sa dalawa. Syempre may gusto rin ako malaman mula sa asawa ko.

"Gaano na sila katagal ni Chloe?"

He shrugged. "I don't know. Ang alam ko lang ay nabuntis niya ang kapatid ko. Nagalit talaga ako nung una kasi pinoprotekta ko si Chloe sa mga lalaki tapos mabubuntis siya agad?"

"Well, I understand that because you're her brother."

"Of course, Chloe will be always my little sister to me no matter what," he said. Tapos tiningnan niya ako diretsyo sa mata. "Kaya gusto ko rin malaman kung sino pumatay sa kaniya."

I arched my eyebrow. "Why? What are you going to do the killer of your sister?"

"I am not going to tell you, wifey," he chortled. Tapos piningot niya pa yung ilong ko habang tumatawa siya. "I just hope that Adrian will do his best to find the killer. I want to talk to whoever that person is. Of all people here in this world, why my little sister?"

"She was killed while she's pregnant?" I probed.

He nodded his head. "Yeah, her body was found naked in the middle of a road. They told me that she was raped and murdered. That's all I know."

"But do you believe that she was raped and murdered?"

His jaw tightened to my question. I need some information from him. I want to know what's running inside his head. Gusto ko maging aware sa kung ano ang tumatakbo sa isipan ni Lynch ngayon. Ramdam ko naman ang galit niya dahil pinatay yung kapatid niya.

"I do believe that she was murdered. Fucking hell, I will surely break that person's bone for fucking killing my sister."

"Calm down, Lynch," I cooed.

Hinawakan ko yung braso niya dahil nakakuyom yung kamao niya sa galit. Yung tipo na nagsisilabasan na yung mga ugat sa kamay niya. Nang hawakan ko kamay niya para kalmahan siya, nanlambot ang mukha niya habang tinitingnan ako. Ayaw ko makita na magalit si Lynch. Para kasing nakakatakot siya magalit.

"I'm sorry if I scared you," he whispered. Napatili ako nung bigla niya ako inangat at pinakandong sa kaniya. Nanlalaki pa rin yung mata ko habang nakatingin sa kaniya. "You are really the one who's giving a peace to my disaster world. I love you, wifey."

I smiled. "I love you too, hubby."

He brought his nose on my neck. Nakikiliti ako dahil inaamoy ako ni Lynch. Bumubungisngis ako sa ginagawa niya. We really look like a couple who is madly in love with each other. Where in fact, it is true.
