Chapter 29 | RD

Tahimik lang kaming dalawa sa loob ng sasakyan niya. He was too focus on driving. While I'm observing his car. Malinis din ang kaniyang sasakyan at may dalawang tuxedo na nakalagay sa likod. Tsaka maayos talaga ang suotan niya ngayon.

"I've heard that your wedding is near. That's on monday, right?" he started.

I bit my lips. "Yeah, so?"

"You can't marry Lynch Scott because you are for me."

"I'm his fiance," I stated. Bakit kasi dumagdag pa itong si Jonas sa problema ko. Pati rin tuloy siya ay ayaw na ikasal ako. "Besides, you just want me because of my parent's company."

He let out a cocky laughed. "Who told you that? Your parents? Didn't I told you that I want you?"

"Too bad the feeling is not mutual."

"You don't know what I'm capable of, Gwen. Don't you try to underestimate me."

I rolled my eyes at him. Iniwas ko na yung tingin ko kasi ayaw ko na rin ipagpatuloy yung usap. Naiinis lang ako sa kaniya. I just need some information about his father and the Black Aura. Damn it.

A few minutes later, we already arrived in our destination. Maraming mga mamahalin na sasakyan na nakaparanda sa mismong event. Mapapansin mo kaagad na mga mayayaman lahat ang mga iyon. Nauna bumaba si Jonas kaya bumaba na rin ako. Binigay niya yung susi sa valet. He offered me his shoulder and I don't have a choice but to anchor my arms around it.

We were walking inside the event. Inikot ko yung paningin ko para hanapin sila Shadow at si Haiper. Dahil nandito lang sila sa paligid. Habang si Sawyer ay nasa hideout at alam ko na nasa harapan niya ang mga computers niya.

Nang mahanap na namin ni Jonas yung table namin, pinaghila niya ako ng upuan. I showed him my taunting smile so I could make him get irritated. But he shrugged his shoulders instead. Umupo na ako at umupo naman siya sa tabi ko.

"You have to be with me throughout the event," he whispered.

Lumayo ako ng bahagya kasi sobrang lapit niya sa akin. Ayaw ko kasi kapag ganiyan siya kalapit sa akin. Akala niya okay lang 'yun para sa akin pero hindi naman talaga.

"Hindi mo talaga ako kakausapin?"

I snorted. "There's no point of talking with you because I know we're going to argue."

"Once I got some of your deepest information..." he trailed off. Mas lalo niya nilapit yung bibig niya sa tenga ko. "Wala ka nang kawala."

"Whatever..." I shook my head in nuisance. He is the annoying person I knew. Fuck it.

"If I were you, I'm going to be a good girl and listen to what I've say. Because my father is coming and I'm going to introduce you to him whether you like it or not."

Nabigla ako sa sinabi niya. Ineexpect ko naman na pupunta rito si Joseph del Vera sa auction event pero hindi ko inaasahan na ipapakilala ako ni Jonas sa ama niya. Shit. Sa loob loob ko ay hindi na ako mapakali sa nangyayari. Gusto ko tuloy isuot yung earpiece ko para makausap ko sila at nang marinig nila yung magiging usapan namin mamaya.

"I have to go to the powder room," I said. Akmang tatayo na ako nung hinawakan niya yung palapulsuhan ko. Tinaasan ko siya ng kilay.

"What did I say, Gwen?" he replied, sounds a bit annoyed.

"I need to retouch my face. It's a girl thing if you're not aware. So, if you'd excuse me and stop being an asshole."

Hinawi ko yung kamay ko mula sa kaniya at naglakad na ako palayo para hanapin yung restroom. Nakasimangot lang ako habang papaso sa restroom. Sino ba hindi mawawala sa mood kapag gano'n kasama mo diba? Hay nako.
