I wish you could love me back

I wish time would stand still
So that I could memorise your smile
Or how your eyes sparkle
Or the feeling of your hand when you hold mine

I wish you would look at me in a different way
Ramble about me to your friends till their ears ache
Talk to me like I was the brightest star in the galaxy
And promise me no heartbreak
But all theses wishes I make in vain

I wish I could unlove you
Forget what I feel when I see your face
I wish my feelings could be erased
I wish I didn't smile everytime someone mentions your name.

I wish I would stop reminiscing on moments we shared.
Daydreaming and wishing for a reality  that will never exist,
Where I called you mine and we were each other's everything.
But our moments together to you are purely platonic.

When I'm m near you my heart beats faster than it should,
And I smile more than I normally would,
All because of you.

I want to forget how I feel when I see you
But I can't forget, how could I forget everything?
The butterflies, the words, the stories all the memories of moments we spend.
I just wish you could love me back
