Dear Mom

So mom when I die
Try to let go
Don't cry because you'll find a way to move on
I'll try to find the happiness in heaven that I couldn't find on earth.

You must be crying in your bed
Wishing you could hear me from downstairs
Or atleast the sound of my laughter as its carried through the air.
And the pain that you have I can't begin to comprehend.

And I know that its painful,
To see the child you watched grow
Get lowered into the ground
About six feet down.

Don't forget me, no
I just ask that you let me go
It will all heal with time
And one day you'll be alright

I know it hurts
And some days the pain feels worse.
I've been there, it's dark I'm aware,
you might fall into a deep pit of despair.

I'll always be by your side
Even when you cry
I'll smile down at you from up high
You just have to look at the sky

I tried to make you proud
Even if I didn't do it all the time
Atleast I tried, I wanted to make you happy
Because you were everything to me.

So mom when I die
Try to let go
Don't cry because you'll find a way to move on
