Loki now steered the skiff to a rock mountain peak, where a very small narrow cave can just be seen. Lidianna began to hold onto the nearby railings as Thor, Triston and Jane eyed the two confused. "Loki..." Thor mumbled.
"If it were easy, everyone would do it," Loki said.
"Are you mad?" Thor asked.
"Possibly," Loki said.
"Very," Lidianna said.
Loki steered the skiff into the cave, and it was so narrow that the edge of the skiff smashed against the walls of the tunnel.
Iridescent crystals could be seen on the walls of the cave, and as they whizzed through, the crystal lit up with the same effect as that of the Bifrost. Everything began to blur, and when it did, Lidianna shut her eyes. The skiff exited the tunnel and ricocheted off the black sands of Svartalfheim.
When Lidianna opened her eyes, she saw Loki smirked at her and everyone else. "Ta-da!" He exclaimed and Lidianna stammered a smile, and a small one appeared on his lips as well.
Within the Dark Elf Ark, Kursk approached Malekith who was thinking deeply to himself. "We must strike now," Kurse said in Elvish."No. Asgard is meaningless. The Aether has found its way home," Malekith said in Elvish.
Upon the dead realm of Svartalfheim, the skiff glided over dead plains and broken cities.
Loki watched as Thor placed a cover over Jane, who was still unconscious, but he shook his head in disappointment. "What I could do with the power that flows through those veins," Loki said and Lidianna looked up at him."You will not touch her," Lidianna said but Loki scoffed.
"You think so low of me," Loki said but Lidianna gave him a look, as if to say he's done low things. "Nevermind."
"Doesn't matter if he touches her or not, it would consume him," Thor said.
"She's holding up alright," Loki said and Lidianna rolled her eyes before she sat next to the unconscious Jane. "For now."
"If you don't shut up right now," Triston muttered, rubbing his forehead in annoyance.
"She's strong in ways you'd never even known," Thor said.
"Say goodbye," Loki said before he glanced at Triston. "Both of you."
"Not this day," Thor said.
"She's not going to die," Triston said.
"This day, the next, a hundred years, it's nothing. It's a heartbeat. You'll never be ready. The only woman whose love you prized will be snatched from you," Loki said.
"And will that satisfy you?" Thor asked.
"Satisfaction is not in my nature," Loki said but Lidianna let out a laugh, receiving a glare from Loki.
"Surrender is not in mine," Thor said.
"The son of Odin-" Loki started.
"No. Not just of Odin," Thor said before he rose and stepped towards Loki. "You think you alone were loved by Mother? You had her tricks, but I had her trust."
Lidianna grimaced to herself. She really tried to not look at the two, knowing Loki was going to bring up Frigga's death. And thinking of how she held her dead grandmother's body still made her sick. "Trust? Was that her last expression? Trust?" Loki asked as Lidianna looked up at him. "When you let her die?"
"What help were you in your cell?" Thor asked and Lidianna's heart crushed. She was in a cell, and she couldn't save Frigga either. But she wasn't anything like Loki, but yet was still in the same circumstances.
