Chapter Three

A/N: So, that chapter was a little bit longer. I had thought about splitting it up, but I was on a roll! I hope you guys are enjoying it!

This one is going to be longer too, but I am actually splitting this one!

*BEEP, BEEP, BEEP*

Maylen's alarm went off, waking her and Roscoe out of their deep sleep.

"I hear ya, I hear ya", she said as she hit the off button. Remembering her night before as well as the day ahead of her, she sprung to life. Jumping in the shower and throwing on some clothes, she had to re-wake up Roscoe to let him out.

Walking out the door, she saw her car parked on the curb, knowing good and well she had left it at the bar, she checked her phone. Her manager had it brought back to her house early this morning. Being thankfully relieved, not only because of the return of her car, but in knowing that last night actually happened. She also had a text from Chris who had gotten her number from Scarlett under the pretenses that he too would be sure to invite her if there were another bar outing. She texted him back as she jumped in her car and drove away.

Arriving on set, her manager and Roseline met her, leading her to her dressing room. Tyra greeted her with a big smile. "Hey love bug! We're going to get you looking fire once again!", she snapped her finger, starting to work the second Maylen sat down.

Moving quickly through costume, sharing fun banter with Henri, she was on to hair. The man worked fast but diligently, moving her right out the door. This time only Roseline guided her where she needed to be, seeing no other actor or actress in attendance yet. "They must all still be in their dressing rooms", she thought to herself.

Today she was going to be shooting a scene showing the Red Viper and the Winter Soldier's past when they were assassins together. Running through the actions in her head, she heard someone approaching behind her.

"Maylen!", the voice called to her making her spin on her around.

She turned to see Sebastian making a direct line to her. Coming upon her quickly, he grabbed her into a hug. "You ready for another big scene today?", he asked releasing her.

"Oh yeah! Of course! As long as you don't mess up the scene again making me save your ass", she responded trying to emit some banter between them.

He laughed, "Oh— so it's like that? I see how it is."

"Yeah. Yeah, it is like that!", she said squinting her eyes.

The directors walked on set and they were called to their places. "See you out there May", he said jogging off.

Surprised by the nickname, she almost forgot what she was doing. Finding her spot close to him, she stood waiting to call— "ACTION".

In this scene, the Red Viper and Winter Soldier walked beside each other entering a large building, on their way to take down their assigned mark.

Upon entrance, they both could tell something wasn't right, so they reached for their weapons. They walked forward a few more steps and bullets began firing at them. Without wasting any time, they both turned their backs to each other firing in all directions. It was a real Mr. and Mrs. Smith moment. People came out of doors surrounding them, but not making it far due to their skill level. Making their way up the stairs quickly, their mark was running down the hall trying to escape them.

"I've got him", Violet said, wanting to take the lead on this mark. Then, a larger guard stepped out in front of her, taking her to the ground. The Winter Soldier shot the mark in the back of the head and whipped around to kill the guard attacking her. With one shot, he succeeded.
