ＣＨＡＰＴＥＲ ＳＥＶＥＮ

"You can't be here," JJ mumbled, never looking back from where he was sitting in the sand. He was watching the sunset in silence deep in thoughts.

He knew after a week of sitting out here she would come.

"I want to explain myself... It's important," She reassured him by taking a seat next to him at a distance.

"I trusted you... We had something- we were friends," She could hear the hurt in his voice and could tell that he was holding back something. Probably his usual manner toward Kooks which was to be snarky and rude. "The others I begged them to trust you because I did and they knew that it would bite me in the ass-"

"Rafe has been blackmailing me to do this... At points I thought he was going to hurt me and I-I wasn't telling him much just lies or little things to get by it was never my intention to get anyone hurt! I didn't know what to do! He wasn't telling me to come every night and hang out it was all me he was just trying to get information from me I swear and now Sarah is going through the same thing he's-"

"Shit John B," JJ mumbled, running a hand down his face. "You're telling the truth?"

"Why would I make this up?" She asked, confused , chasing him to sigh.

"I don't know... The other kooks-"

"I'm not like them,"

"I know that I believe you," He reassured, finally glancing over at her and meeting her eyes.

"I'm sorry for everything I shouldn't have told him it just came out and all the other stuff I told him was just little things but now that I think about it I could have just lied but I hate lying and-"

"Will you shut up already?" He questioned placing a hand on her cheek. "You don't need to apologize,"

"Yes I do,"

"Sarah came here crying and told all of us everything as soon as she found out what happened... We've been waiting all week to see if you would come back- to see if you really wanted this,"

He squeezed her cheek a little stopping her from talking as Y/N began to feel them go hot. "I still feel sorry," She murmured reaching up and running her thumb over his bruised knuckles as she took his hand in hers. "All of this happened because of me,"

"It was going to happen eventually," He shrugged through a chuckle. "After all your brother hates me,"

"Yeah he does," Y/N mumbled through a laugh. "Good thing he thinks that our friendship is over,"

"And it's not," The blonde reassured dropping his hand so that it was on his waist and that's when they leaned in and into a hug. "We can do whatever we want now,"

"Now we can't hang out anywhere Rafe can see us," Y/N pointed out through a frown.

"Shit! So I'll never have you just to myself?" JJ questioned causing her to shake her head. He realized the reality of what had just escaped his lips and blushed.

"I won't leave you don't worry," She reassured through a smile.

"You're best Y/N/N,"

"No I'm not," She murmured, glancing away. "I ruin everything good around me,"

"That's not true," He reassured. "I'm pretty great and I haven't been ruined yet,"

"Not funny," She sighed.

"Y/N you're amazing and you made a mistake," He pointed out, putting his arms around her as they were scrawled out in the sand. "We all make mistakes hell there were times when JB and I thought we'd never be friends again,"

"Really?"

"Hell yeah! He still hates me too," This caused Y/N to laugh. Though as her laughs died down there became a comfortable silence around them.

They stared into each other's eyes for a minute not even knowing how any seconds had passed. They were comfortable around each other as if they had known each other their entire lives.

"Y'know you have the most beautiful eyes sweetheart," She smiled at this glancing at his lips as his arms around her grew tighter and that's when finally he shook his head. "Fuck it,"

His lips were like petals of hot flame against her cold ones. He was perfect and tasted like vanilla weed. A weird and yet perfect combination just like him.

"Wow," Y/N whispered through a grin as he smiled back at her, their foreheads still touching.

"I've imagined this moment so many times and this isn't how I expected it to go," JJ murmured through a shaking of his head.

"What do you mean?"

"I thought you and Topper had a thing going on..."

"Well we don't," Y/N reassured through a smile. "I'm all yours," And that's when she kissed him once more.

Keeping him from saying anything else.

Knowing that her words were nothing more than lies.
