ＣＨＡＰＴＥＲ ＴＨＲＥＥ

"You got the map?" JJ questioned through a yawn as he walked out from John B's house in nothing but pajama pants. 

"I sure did," She exclaimed, handing it over to him, suddenly the two of them were hugging in excitement. 

They were going to get the gold… Which was one of things Y/N for sure wouldn't ever tell Rafe about. 

"John b is asleep but if you want to come in-"

"No that's alright it's really late anyways,"

"Yeah you psycho three in the morning really?" He questioned crossing his arms over his chest. 

"I didn't want anyone to see me with the map and I'm going to be gone all tomorrow-"

"Where?" Y/N bit her lip glancing down at the ground kicking the dirt a little with her toe. 

"On Toppers boat,"

"Have fun," There was a hint of something in his voice that gave Y/N goosebumps. As suddenly she felt guilty for agreeing to the entire thing. 

"Thank you," He should know that she hangs out with people from her part of the island too right? 

Y/N ended up on Topper's boat bright and early the next day. Even if she was dangerously tired. Though as she left she still managed to give her father the reassuring nod that put a smile on his lips. 

Seeing him proud caused her to smile aswell. She was going to try and be friends with Topper because of him, and who knows this might be a good thing. 

"Topper! Topper no!" However before she could say anything else Topper was jumping into the warm ocean water with her in his arms. 

When the water covered Y/N she imagined this moment in time. For a split second she thought about JJ and the Pogues. JJ had done almost the exact same thing to her yesterday, though he had been more sarcastic and snarky with his words. Something that was missing with Topper. 

JJ always had a snarky remark waiting, and so far all Topper did was be a gentleman. Though Topper was amazing, Y/N wanted to see the true side of him.

And she was determined to get it out. 

"Rude," She laughed along with Topper as he only smiled. 

"You know you had fun," He reassured through a smirk. 

"I dunnoo-'' Suddenly before she finished she was getting splashed with water.

Laughter filled the air. Y/N having not one great day out on the water, but two in a row. 

However in a heartbeat they were both over.

When Y/N was heading off to JJ's she had a smile across her lips. 

"Y'know what I actually missed you today princess,"

"Oh really?" Y/N questioned taking a seat down on the beach next to him. 

"Well we don't hang out everyday but considering the day we had yesterday I-" Y/N zoned out as he continued to ramble on about random things. She was too busy smiling about the great day she had with Topper. 

Who knew someone else would love carrots and hummus on the water too. With Skinny pop aswell obviously. 

"Earth to Y/N what do you plan on doing with your share of the gold if we get it,"

"It doesn't look like your friends are going to share with me," She shook her head still deep in thought. "I probably won't get enough,"

"We've been over this sweetheart they already agreed,"

"I know it's just… What are you planning to do with your share?"

"Get a boat and move to the bahamas I heard they have great weed there,"

"Oh do they now?" Y/N questioned through a laugh.

"Yeah they do and I heard the fish over there tastes as good as gold I think that's pretty fitting huh," Y/N let out fits of laughter while standing up from the sand. "You have to leave?"

"I have dinner in twenty minutes," She explained through a sigh.

JJ rolled his eyes and quickly blurted. "I love John B but sometimes he gets on my damn nerves…"

"So what, I'm your therapist?" She asked through a chuckle.

"The past three months you've been… A friend that's not terrible,"

Y/N was flattered; she knew that it took this boy some courage to say nice things. "You're not terrible either,"

"The only terrible thing you ever did was try to sleep with John B while I was slaving away making pancakes!"

"I tripped and bumped into him and we landed on the couch. You know this! Nothing happened! At the time I barely knew him anyway!"

"I know," JJ chuckled, that cute little chuckle that Y/N had grown to crave. Damn did she always want to see a smile on this pogue's damn face. Yet alas most of the time all she found him with was a beaten one. 

Her damn brother, Y/N wished she could control Rafe.

She punched his shoulder lightly. "You asshole,"

"Hey what can I say the chicks dig it," At the realization of what he had just said a blush formed across his cheeks. 

Y/N could feel her cheeks heat up as well. "See you tomorrow at the drive in J,"

"You're going?" He asked through a smirk.

"Of course,"

"You know what I'm bringing!" He cheered, grabbing his surfboard and heading toward the water. 

"Skinny Pop and sour patch kids!" Y/N called in reply, unable to help her smile from returning to her face as she headed home. 

Once Y/N left her room from taking a shower she ran right into Topper. She was all dressed for dinner and by the looks of it so was he. "Oh hey Y/N your mother just told us to come get you for dinner,"

It was then that she noticed Rafe behind him. "The two of you are going to be up playing video games tonight aren't you?"

Rafe nodded eagerly. As they headed down the stairs for dinner. "So Y/N any news?"

Y/N glanced away. She really didn't have any bullshit to tell Rafe this time. "Um well…" She trailed off at the end trying to think of something to say. 

"Y/N," Rafe growled out her name as she sighed glancing down at her folded hands in her lap. 

"Well they're going to the drive in movie thing tomorrow,"

"Who is?" Her father questioned coming into the dining room with a smile. 

He sat next to Y/N kissing the top of her head.

"We are!" Rafe exclaimed through a smirk. "Y/N gave us the idea," His sister just nodded in agreement, watching as a vicious smirk roamed across Rafe's face. 

What the hell did she just do?
