You get do depressed you just want to stay in bed
You get so anxious that you cant speak
Its like happiness is playing the game hide and seek
Except its the one trying to find you
Each day it gives up
Equals another cut

Who knew it could hurt so bad
When happiness can't find you
The game was easy when you are young
There is a lot to bring a kid happiness
But as we age
Happiness is harder to find
Its like we're in a cage
A cage of darkness
A cage of sadness
A cage of loneliness
Hide and seek was a harmless game
Until something happens
Its like a switch is flipped
Each day its harder to find
If its not found
There is another cut or 2
You may think it can't happen to you
But your wrong
Once the switch is flipped
Its hard to turn it off
So your stuck
Stuck in your cage of darkness
