~Chanel’s POV~
“The best love is the kind that awakens the soul; that makes us reach for more, that plants the fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. That’s what I hope to give you forever.”
“Yeah right!” I shouted at my TV.
I was watching The Notebook for the tenth time. Every time I watched it I seemed to get more emotional. For the past four days, I had been locked up in my room watching romance movies. They were supposed to help me get over Liam, but they only made things worse. Those movies just made me think about how all of those people had a perfect relationship with their soulmate when my love life was just a dark empty pit of sorrow.
What else was I supposed to do besides sit in my room all day and mope? Liam was here all the time with Louis and the other guys, so I didn’t want to go down and face him. Everyone tried taking their shot at talking to me. Louis, Zayn, Niall, and even Harry, but I just ignored them. Liam gave up trying to talk after the first day. Every time I would occasionally go downstairs to get food or drinks, he would just look at me, but he wouldn’t say anything. I could tell he was hurt, but he hurt me too, so why should I bother talking to him?
I reached into my bowl to grab a handful of popcorn, but all I felt was the plastic bottom. I paused the movie and hauled myself out of bed to get more food. As I walked out of my room and down the hall I glanced in Louis’ room. He was packing everything he needed for the tour, which the guys were leaving for today.
“Can someone help me?” I heard him call out.
I sat the bowl down and ran into his room to assist him. I walked through the doorway to see him sitting on top of his overstuffed suitcase, trying to zip it up.
“Oh, CJ, I need your help,” he said, jumping off the suitcase, “Sit on this while I zip it up.”
I hopped on the tall suitcase. I did my best to hold everything down while Louis pulled and tugged on the zipper. Finally, after pushing and shoving things in, we got the suitcase zipped up.
I jumped onto the floor, and looked around his room. Everything and I mean everything was packed up in bags, suitcases, and boxes. The only thing left was his bed, which no longer had sheets or blankets on it.
“Wow, you’re taking all this stuff on tour?” I asked him.
Louis hesitated, “Well after the tour….” He started, then he went to pick up a box and carry it into the hallway.
“What?” I asked, following him.
“I’m moving back in with Harry,” he blurted out quickly.
“Huh?” I questioned, in shock. Why was he moving out all of a sudden?
“Yeah, I’m moving back with Harry,” he said again.
“But-but why?” I stammered.
“I just want to,” he said, turning away from me. I could tell he was lying.
“I won’t get to see you and the guys as much though,” I whined.
“I don’t really think you’ll have a problem with that,” he mumbled, I could hear the tension in his voice.
I knew what this was about now, “Is this about what happened with me and Liam? You’re moving out because of a silly fight that’s my problem to deal with?”
Louis turned to look at me. His expression stern, and I could see anger in his eyes. I had never seen him like this before.
“Silly fight?” he exclaimed, “The same silly fight that’s left Liam heart-broken? He’ll barely talk to us or do anything! Him being upset and moping around is making us stressed because not only will this affect the tour but the band as well! And this is all because of something you did!”
I was shocked by his tone. He really made me angry. Why was he blaming me?
“How is this my fault? He’s the one who never told me you guys were going on tour and leaving me!” I screamed.
He smirked, “Of course it’s always about you. You’re mad because he’s leaving YOU for something he has no choice but to do! Do you really think he was thrilled about leaving? He has to it’s his job! And to make things worse, you had to go all drama queen about it!”
“Maybe I wouldn’t be so mad if he would’ve told me sooner!”
Louis shook his head and just smiled, “You don’t get it do you, Chanel? You would’ve reacted the same way if he told you last month or the month before, it doesn’t matter. You know why? Because you push people away. Whenever you get close to someone you blow something out of proportion to avoid getting closer with them. That’s what you did to your mom, didn’t you?”
I felt the tears well up in my eyes. Why was he saying this? Do I really push people away?
“Louis I-I-“ I stuttered.
“Save it,” he snapped, cutting me off, “I get it, you like to push people away. You push them so much that you lose them. Well, congratulations, you just lost someone else.”
With that, Louis picked up his bags and ran down the stairs. I wanted to say something, but I couldn't get the words out. Before I could do anything, it was too late. He was already out the door. That was probably the last time I would ever see Louis Tomlinson.
A/N: Ah! Finally updated! Such an intense chapter. I have some sad news.... I believe that the next chapter will be the end of this story (AWWWW!) I know, I know sad. But I really want to start a new story that I think you guys will like. I can't say much about it yet, but it is going to be about Niall. Anyway, until next time...
xoxo, Em :)
