The cube sat there for a moment, quietly.
'What was that thing?' You wondered to yourself. Dummy began to speak.
"Hey, it's a cube. Just like they have in that popular block game people play." You looked at him, poker-faced. Was this really the time to be talking about that? It seemed Stephen found the whole situation awkward as well so he cleared his throat to try and block out the uncomfortable silence. It didn't seem like he needed to keep that up as the cube began to finally speak after some time.
"Hello." It spoke out all of you staring at it, waiting for it to give you some type of explanation.
"Oh, even worse. It talks." Stephen grumbled.
"I am the Cube. But you can call me Kyu for short." Kyu added. Dummy frowned at Kyu.
"But your name is already one syllable. We don't need to shorten it-" Dummy was cut off by Kyu.
"This world isn't the best is it?" He asked. Stephen took a good look at the purple trees and hills before nodding.
"It could be better...who are you?" Stephen questioned to the Cube.
"Basically, I roam around and go from world to world to keep everything in tact. Make sure the coding isn't broken or the games don't have any mishaps. Orby over there, is my partner of sorts. They came here to keep this world in check but your little friend over there seemed to be too much to handle." He stated. Stephen glared at Kyu. He seemed more offended than you about what Kyu had said. You decided he was just internally going through something since you were basically going to be deleted.
You went up to Stephen and patted him on the back, showing you didn't really care. Stephen took one more look at Kyu before rolling his eyes and continuing to listen to what Kyu had to say. Kyu continued to talk about all the things him and Orby did and how they went around helping different worlds.
"So does this mean Player's gone for good?" You asked Kyu.
"Unfortunately, yes. As well as his father. To be honest, you three are all that's left in this realm. Not that it's a surprise. There weren't many people here anyways. The code could only handle so many people. That's most likely why it was more susceptible to breaking." Kyu stated. Did that mean that your cat was gone too? You didn't deny it since that was most likely the case. You frowned at the thought and hoped they were at least somewhere better than this word now. Dummy sighed and looked out into the broken world.
"Is there anyway we could fix things even with [Name] gone?" Dummy questioned. You felt bad for Dummy. He seemed stressed and upset. Even if he knew a lot of things about the world, he clearly didn't know what to do in this situation. You looked at Stephen and felt worse for him. Ever since he had pieced together you were the one breaking the code, he hadn't really been himself. That was understandable. He seemed to have taken a liking to you.
You inched closer to him and wrapped your arms around him, pulling him into a hug. As much as he wanted to hug you back, he was reluctant to do so. It seemed to be too hard for him to handle, so his arms didn't budge. Sighing, you let go of him. If anything, you felt bad for him. He'd be lonely if you were gone. Not just lonely. He'd have to live with the knowledge that the one thing in his life that could've made him happier, was going to be gone. And he would probably never have an interaction like that again. How depressing.

Kyu and Dummy talked among themselves quietly for a little bit. After a little longer of conversing, Dummy turned back to look at you and Stephen."You have a few minutes before you get wiped, [Name]. If there's anything you or Stephen want to say before you leave, make it quick. We can afford you destroying any more code." Dummy said. He seemed unfazed by the whole thing except for the possibility of you all dying due to the code errors being too much for Kyu. You didn't blame him. He didn't even know you for the most part and you two had only met around a half hour prior. You thought for a second, thinking of what to say. A parting message? Condolences? You didn't have a whole lot to say. You walked over to Stephen and gave him a firm hug. This time he hugged back but he seemed to be stuck in his own mind, thinking about something. You looked at him. He stood there for a moment looking down before then looking up at you with sullen dead eyes.
