Chapter 8

I said "Will you tell me already?" I got angry because I was scared, really. Lily said "They hate when our boys are successful" I raised my eyebrows and said "Okay, but what's wrong with that?" She said "Well.. Um, you see this scar?" she pointed at scar on her leg, I knew that she had it, but I never asked her how she got it. I nodded, so she continued "They've done that to me. They attacked me when I was going to Solo's house, couple months ago." I said "But why would they attack you if they're hating the boys?!" She said "That's the point. They hate when the boys are successful. That means also that they hate when the boys have girlfriends. So, we're now affraid that they could do something to you." I choked and just stood up. I was shocked. I couldn't say a word. I was so scared for myself. I managed somehow to say "I think I'm not ready for this" Because I really think that. I'm not ready to die or something like that. I was thinking about Susan and how would she feel. But on the other side - Lenny. I can't let him go now when finally things are perfect. But still if I stay with him horrible things could happen to me. I asked Lily "Have they done anything else to you?" She said "No. That was the first and the last time." I said "But you and Solo are still together, why they're not doing anything to separate you?" She said "Because they know it's impossible" I said "I don't know. I think I'm gonna go home now. You can come later" Lily wanted to say something but Lenny said before her "Lisa, I'm going home with you" I said "I think it would be better if you stay here. You have to practice" Lily said "Lenny, it's okay, I'll go with her, don't worry" I said "Yes, Lenny, please" He said "As you wish. Lily, call me if she needs me"

We rushed back home, just in case. I opened the door and got into house first. Lily turned around just to make sure if someone was following us. When she said "Nothing, good" someone slammed the door. I got scared and screamed. Lily began banging on the door and shouting "Lisa, open the door! Lisa!" In my house were two of those boys who we were talking about. I shouted "Who the hell are you, what do you want from me?!" I was moving away slowly. One of them said "I'm Jake and this is Jacob" their smiles were evil. Jake said "You can laugh, we have similar names, isn't that cool, ha?" I said "No, it's not cool, it's not even funny" Jacob said "Whoa, this girl is naughty! You can't talk like that with us" I said "Yeah, right, will you tell me what the hell are you doing in my house and how did you get in? What do you want from me?" By the way, Lily was still banging on the door. Jacob said "Tell her to stop, right now! And tell her not to call anyone!" Jake said "We went inside through balcony, the doors were opened. You know, Lenny isn't good for you. They are bunch of bastards, did you know that?" He was heading slowly to me. I saw that he's pulling his gun out, he was playing with it in front of my eyes. I started shaking and couldn't say a thing. He said again "Did you hear me? You should just let it go, you're nice girl" I said "If I'm nice why are you doing this?" Jacob was laughing and he said "Because we hate them and we know what hurts them the most. When their loved ones are hurt." I was close to the stairs and I had a plan. I shouted really loud "LILY CALL LENNY NOW!" I ran upstairs quickly and heard Lily shouting "ALREADY CALLED HIM!" Jake said "We had a different deal!" he shot me in the leg as I was running, I screamed and tears were coming down my face. But I felt adrenaline rushing through my body and I didn't want to stop, somehow I entered the first room I saw. I locked myself in there while those two idiots were banging and trying to raze the door. I heard Lenny's voice and that was a relief. Then I heard another gunshot and my heart literally stopped. Jacob said "Our job here is done, they got what they deserve, let's go" I was holding wound on my leg with my hands. Bullet was there still, but I didn't actually feel it. I unlocked the door and I was trying to move so I can open the door. I was moving slowly because my leg really hurt. I heard Lenny whispering "Lisa... Are you o..." I knew something was wrong and I quickly opened the door, Lenny was lying on the floor, blood was coming out from his shoulder. I already lost much blood and I felt dizzy. The boys and Lily came upstairs and saw us there, both lying on the floor. I kissed Lenny on the forehead and said "We'll be okay, you will be okay" I don't know how, he smiled at me, then he passed out. I looked at my friends, Lukas was calling an ambulance, Lily knelt by me, she was crying. I said to her "I'll be fine, please, don't cry" She hugged me and suddenly everything turned black in front of my eyes.

I woke up in the hospital. Lily, Solo, Samson and Paulie were in my room. First thing I said was "Is everything good with Lenny?" Samson smiled and said "Yes, luckily he's going to be good. How are you feeling?" I said "If he's good, I'm even better" Solo said "Those two will get what they deserve, again. I don't know why they've done that again if they know what will happen to them" I said "What will happen to them now?" He smiled and said "We infromed our gang about the event. They will do the rest" I said "Yeah, kill those bitches" They were laughing and then Paulie said "Are you hungry?" I replied "No, Paulie, but you can eat those bananas there" By the way, there were few bananas on the table by my bed. Paulie said "Are you sure?" I said "I am sure, just eat them" He said "Ohh, thank you, I'm starving!" We continue to laugh, then John came in my room. He said "Hey honey, how are you? As I can see here is nice atmosphere" and he smiled. I said "I'm fine, what about Lenny?" John said "He's fine also. He wants to see you, but none of you two can't get out." I took my phone and said to Lily "Take a picture of me" She took my phone, looked at me and said "Why?" I said "We will send my picture to Lenny, so he'll see me and he'll see that I'm okay" Everyone started to laugh, but she took a picture of me and we sent it. John smiled and went back to Lenny's room. After few minutes I got a message, from Lenny. It was his picture and he wrote "I love you baby!" Samson said "Now you're feeling much better, don't you?" I said "Yeah, for sure!"

Doctor came in and said "We have to put bandage on her leg again, so I'll ask you to wait outside for few minutes, okay?" Everyone nodded and they went out. I asked "Um, doctor, could you tell me how long will I have to stay here?" Doctor said "Well, it's up to you. You have to stay here one more week. After that you can go to your home but you won't be able to walk so much for next two weeks." I said "I'm okay with that" When he and nurse finished putting new bandage on my leg they left. No one was coming in, so I thought that maybe they went to see how's Lenny doing. I signed in on facebook via my phone and saw relationship request from Lenny. I smiled and accepted it, of course. Someone opened the door and went inside, I didn't know who that was. But I found Lenny's number in my phone and I was ready to call him. That guy said "Wait, I don't want to hurt you" I said "Introduce yourself" He said "I'm Richard, I'm in the gang where Justice crew boys were" That was a relief, at least I know they're friends. I said "Yeah, I know, and what are you doing here? Lenny is another room, if you wanted to see him, I don't know which room, I will ask him now" I wanted to text Lenny but Richard said "I was in his room recently, now I wanted to see how are you" I smiled, but I was a bit shocked and I said "Why me?" He said "And I wanted to say that those 5 boys who attacked you and Lenny are beaten, but we didn't want to kill them. We went through this few months ago. They won't bother you and Lenny again" I said "Thank you for everything, but how can I be sure that they won't attack again?" He said "Just be sure. They won't try to do it again because they know who is standing behind you" I said "Thank you once again, for everything" He said "I'm leaving now, I hope you will recover quickly. See you" He smiled and left the room. I texted Lenny "Richard was here also" He didn't replied so I thought he's maybe sleeping or resting, I don't know. Suddenly I heard the door opening again, 6 boys and Lily came in. I asked "Why have you left Lenny alone?" John said "Doctor is there now, they're putting new bandage on his arm" I said "Okay then" Lily "Doctor said that you should rest a bit because you lost much blood" I smiled and said "I'm fine, I don't want to rest" Nurse went in and said "You have to leave the room now, patient needs some rest" They all kissed me on the cheek or on the forehead and they left the room. I got a message from Lenny "He's a nice guy, don't worry. I'm going to sleep now, I'm really tired. See you soon, love you"  Well, I hope to see him soon, really.

I fell asleep soon. Pain in my leg woke me up, I guess sedative ceased to act. I didn't open my eyes, but I felt that someone is sitting by my bed. I didn't hear any voices so I knew that there was only one person.
