If only I could stop reminiscing the past,
Your memories would have been long erased.
The way you shuffled those feelings so fast;
Well I'm terrified, rather truly amazed.
You seemed like someone I could trust the most,
So I listened to my heart and gave it shot.
You left me feeling empty, like a mere ghost,
I should have held back, should have given it a thought.
You were quite beautiful, this I admit;
But if only I had looked straight into those eyes,
Never in time would I have dared to commit,
For the sweetest of promises were covered in beautiful lies.
For all those times you crushed my heart;
The pain, the betrayal, the tears that I shed-
I realise now that from the very start,
I should have just walked away instead.
