CHAPTER • 23

It's evening and girls and I are chilling on the couch while Aria is busy with preparation.

"Guys you won't believe it but Alex is staying in my room!" I said irritated

Layla and Chloe didn't react as I expected

"What seriously" Layla said a bit casually

"Are you okay? I said Alex is staying in my room!!" I said while raising my hand in the air

"Omgg what nooo... what do you think you will do now" Chloe said

"What is there to do now I'm going to change my room"

"You can't do that" Layla said hastily

"Why?" I asked

Layla looked at Chloe

Kritika said "Because rooms are full"

I can't even ask them to change the room because they are sharing a room with their boyfriends.

I got up and when I was on my way I saw a girl sitting in the dining who was probably landon's sister.

I sat beside her And gave her a warm smile

"Hey Ella! Is there anything I can help you with?" She asked politely

"Actually yes, I wanted to know if You could share your room with me" I asked hoping she won't deny

"Of course"she said and I engulfed her in a big hug, thankful to her.

"Thank you so much I'll go get my stuff"
I said and got up on my way to my room

"Sure"

I entered the room and saw Alex laying on the bed working on his laptop.

I glanced at him and started to pack my stuff I went into the bathroom and got my toiletry bag and stuffed it in the bag.

"Where are you doing?" Alex asked setting his laptop on the side table.

"Somya, I asked you something,"he said in a deep voice sending shivers down my spine.

But I chose to ignore him and continued packing my stuff.

"Ell-" he was about to say something but I cut him off

"Why do you care? Leave me the fuck alone" I lashed out

I remembered the texts from that girl, I hated that feeling of being used like a tissue paper.
I just wished that we could work things out this time but destiny had something else saved for us. The anger rose within me

I was done with the packing so I picked up my luggage and was about to turn the doorknob when I felt Alex grab my arm and turn me to face him

"No I won't until you tell me why are you leaving" he said

I chuckled and his brows furrowed
"I can't believe I'm saying this again but I want to make you feel how I felt Alex how many times do I have to repeat it!" I said

"I don't believe that!"

"Well you should" I freed my arm from his grip and continued

"Because you were the one who left without telling me the fucking reason" I shout
Tears welling up in my eyes
He runs his hand through his hair

"You were the one who broke up over TEXT!!"

"You were the one who moved away and I didn't even have a fucking idea where you were Alex!"

"You blocked me out of all social media platforms, I searched for you I called all of your friends but they won't tell me anything!
I used to visit your house daily in the hope that You would magically appear." Tears were nonstop falling.

"I cried for days I made myself believe that I wasn't good enough for you"

"I FOR GOD SAKE LOVED YOU and in return, YOU JUST LEFT!" I said while looking him straight in the eyes his eyes were glistening

"I DIDN'T LEFT WILLINGLY MY FATHER DIED IN AN ACCIDENT!" He yelled in return his facial expression showed that he was trying his best not to cry

I froze couldn't believe what he was saying his father was no more.

"After which I was... I was thrown into this business world, I was asked to cut off from all the contacts" he sat on the edge of the bed while resting his hand on his knees and his forehead pressed against his palm.

"I didn't even get time to grieve about my father's death because I had to handle his business and for a 21 year old it was a very big deal!"
He said his voice showed vulnerability and a tear fell from my eyes

All this time I blamed him and didn't even try to listen to his side of the story, how could I be so selfish?

I knelt in front of Alex and placed my hand on his cheek he leaned into the touch.

He looked at me and continued
" After seeing Lauren's text you left without confronting me, she was just a fling she meant nothing to me I was not even responding to her text, the least you could do was trust me and I wanted to come and tell you this but-" he said and a tear fell from his eyes
I wiped it and said

"I'm so sorry" only words that I could form

He cupped my cheeks and pulled me to his lap

"You are all I ever wanted Ella , I love you and I will always do" He confessed and my eyes welled up with tears of joy and his face broke into a smile

"I love you too! And I'm sorry" I said genuinely meaning it and he leaned into me kissing me passionately.

For the first time in years, I felt my heart filled with joy as if all the hurt disappeared into a thin layer.

We lay on the bed while cuddling each other,
He wrapped his arms around my waist pulling me closer than ever spooning me.

He snuggles into the crook of my neck and says "You don't know how long I've waited to get that off my chest"

I hummed and turned to meet his eyes and pulled him into another kiss.

But the knock on the door interrupted and Alex groaned I chuckled and went to open the door seeing a very chirpy couple Aria and Landon.

"Heyy!" Aria said and engulfed me in a big hug

While Landon walked in and gave a side hug to Alex.

"So what's up with you too?" Landon asked

I looked at Alex and he came by my side and wrapped his hand around me making me blush

"Oh my god!!!!!! I'm so happy" Aria exclaimed probably understood by the gesture that everything between us had sorted out.

"Okay so let's get the dinner and then you guys can continue what we might have interrupted" Landon said while leading Aria out of the room.

I turned red out of embarrassment Alex noticed and whispered in my ear "Come on let's get you dinner so I can eat mine" My breath hitched which made him chuckle.
