"Mar, I'm not in the mood tonight" Dave said, trying to shut me up during his upsetting time which I was about to experience as well while we advanced further into the night. Still gotta lighten up the mood for my buddy.
The party was dying downstairs, as people were leaving around 3 in the morning, which gave a chance for the meeting to be held in privacy.
"Come on, just once" I insisted to snap his tension go away while he rubbed the bridge of his nose. "row row row the boat gently down the stream, and merrily merrily merrily I can make you scream."
"Mar," Dave went on with his words while his legs halted in between the hallway, making mine mirror his. "It's very bad this time. Styles' part has got sixty percent of the total from the west coast supply" His foot began tapping on the marble flooring in nervousness, outside the main office.
I stayed quiet. Silence said it all while the anger withtin me was building.
"Amara... He's got our men," He began. "All men who were posted at Ravenna pier... gone."
"That son of a bitch asked for his death now" I roared in anger and threw the closest chair over to the ground floor, the voice of the impact echoing in the long empty hallway. "It's the third time this month!"
Dave's head dropped to his hand in failure, and I knew there was something more to this whole fuck-scenario.
"What else Dave?" My voice got deeper and fiery.
"Let's go inside" He started to walk away, replying with a little pity in his voice. But for who?
"Tell me, now. I'm not gonna stand there and wait for that bitch inside to brief me about my men" I held his wrist to stop him from going forward, turning him around so I was towering his height.
"Noah was in Ravenna." His eyes teared up.
Pity for himself.
-"Come to the point, Johanna. What's he asking for?" I stood right in front of Johanna, facing her.
"A sec Amara, so as I was saying, he's got all of our frontlines men, that were previously posted at the harbor, to himself, including Noah, Dave's boyfriend" the movements and chatters inside the room, all stopped, the moment she stated - "He has left a note on a black paper for us as well-"
Johanna fetched the dark object from the table. "Here." She slammed it straight on the tabletop, in the center of the room.
