Team Natsu plus Natlynn walked down the Magnolia streets, Natlynn looking like a child in a candy store. She was amazed about all of the different townspeople, the stores and the families of the town. She smiled sadly at the father and daughter moments that happened, silently wishing that things would've been different. Natsu held Natlynn's hand in his the moment they gotten into town, entangling their fingers together. He looked down at the girl, watching as she watched everything with exciting eyes and a distance memory flashing in his head.

~ flashback ~

Natsu and Natlynn softly held hands, walking towards her Nana's motel. Natsu was just bailed out from jail and Master forbid him from ever seeing her again. Her father was after her and him, so this was their last visit. Their last moment together before being ripped apart because of their different worlds.

Lola watched the pair slowly watched towards her, fresh dry tears on Natlynn's face while Natsu was completely numb. No emotion. Her soul broke slightly at the sight in front of her.

Natlynn stopped halfway to her Nana and turned towards Natsu, her dark green eyes boring into his onyx eyes she loved. He softly played with her hand before pulling her into hug, enjoying her soft skin on his one last time. Tears filled her eyes as she wrapped her arms around his waist, loving the warmth and love that came from him. He wrapped his arms around her shoulders, holding them closely to his chest.

"You're nothing but a disappointment." Natlynn whispered.

"You're not good of a dragon slayer or a wizard."

"You're pathetic."

"Igneel left because you're nothing but a sorry excuse of a man."

She was trying to make him hate her. Make him hate her so the damage wouldn't be as bad, so he wouldn't hurt like she was on the inside. Doing what she knew best, make everyone hate the Jacks.

Natsu knew her words wasn't true. He heard how her voice cracked with every sentence and how her body shook trying to keep down the tears. She was hurting and he couldn't be there for her.

He wrapped his arms around her tighter and kissed her head. Fresh hot tears ran down her face at the sweet gesture she loved.

"I fucking hate you."

"I know."

~ present time ~

"Natsu?"

Natsu snapped out of his trance and stared back at a confused Natlynn. She smiled softly at his zoning out before walking about with the team to Fairy Tail. She was nervous, last time she went, everything wasn't exactly friendly. They all stared at her in disbelief and were ready to attack her. She heard Makarov and Natsu arguing about her. They especially hated her after her father's goonies raided Fairy Tail and took Natsu.

She just hoped that Lola helped her out.

Natsu felt how nervous she was and squeezed her hand softly. They both sent eachother soft smiles, swinging their hands lightly as they walked along the sidewalk.

When they finally arrived to the guild doors, Makarov was waiting for them at the doors. He stared at them with a neutral face, no emotion as they walked up to him.

"Hello Master." Erza greeted.

He hummed at Erza's presence, his eyes immediately falling towards Natlynn. Natlynn stiffened at his unreadable glance, one of the many skills she learned in the Jack household.

"Natlynn Jack. Lola's granddaughter."

"Hello."

Makarov sighed softly, remembering Lola's words over the sudden lacrima call.
