you were in pure shock and disbelief.
you weren't expecting akasuki to do anything to the manager.
it had all happened so fast and you couldn't help but blame yourself.
if you hadn't come there, if you didn't offer to have a dinner with sigma, none of these would happen.
you walked back next to sigma, he was devastated, shocked.
he looked like everything he was holding onto just slipped right out of his hands.
and it was all your fault,
he lost his house, the place he belonged because of you.
you were the only one to blame, at least that's what you thought.
the reason sigma was crying was not even near that.
he didn't care about the house or the stuff that he had lost.
the thing that made him snap was that his night that he was planning on spending with you was ruined.
hurting you was his breaking point.
he wasn't holding on to something different now.
not the casino, not his home, not even fyodor, but you.
he was trying to hold you as close to him as possible, not letting you slip out, but it was harder to hold onto than anything else he had touched.
harder yet more pleasurable.
thoughts kept on coming and sigma was constantly trying to push them away.
as he tried pushing them harder he started crying harder.
at this point you didn't know what you were supposed to do.
you slowly walked back next to sigma and sat down next to him.
you were just barely holding your tears from streaming down your face but you had to keep your cool because right now, sigma was the one who needed help.
"hey," you softy whispered, "everything is going to be alright." you continued with a soft smile on your face which you had forced on.
sigma was trying to talk but his sobs were restraining him from answering.
your heart broke as the manager's tears continued streaming down his face.
you didn't want to cause any more pain so at one point, you shifted a little and were getting ready to get up.
that was when sigma stopped crying.
before you had the chance to get up, sigma held your hand and intertwined his fingers with yours.
"i'm sorry" he said, with his voice cracking a little.
"you don't have to apologise sigma, the one who should be apologising is me. all this is my fault. if i didn't come here in the first place, akasuki wouldn't have done all these, you wouldn't have to lose your home and..." you weren't able to continue.
tears were streaming down your face and you felt like you were going to collapse anytime.
seeing you like that, hurt, it teared sigma apart.
