Revenge of the Dragon Hunters

CHAPTER III: NEW ACQUAINTANCES

When the Artemis was carrying Morgana, she asked, “Where are you taking me you monsters?  You killed my brother.”  “  Yes, we had to revenge for he killed our sons and daughters.  I could smell the same blood on his sword.”  Answered the male Artemis
                 “You have not answered my question, where are you taking me?”  Morgana asked.  The female Artemis said, “Can you look at us?  NO, you cannot that is because you have not yet known yourself.  Years before Azalea’s king, came to the vital territory, the sorcerers and we lived together.  They used us like their animals.”
“Wait!  They used you!  How could they look at you and not turn to statues?”  Morgana interrupted.  “That is because they used a certain spell that could make them blind for some minutes.
                 When they opened their eyes, they looked different.  They now could see us and not turn to statues.  When children were, born the parents could do the same to them.  We are taking you back to the vital kingdom.  You do not belong with the evil humans you belong with us.  We will teach you what you need to learn once you can look at us.”  The Artemis told Morgana.  They took a canoe and sailed to vital kingdom
                     In azalea, Xeodes was now declared dead, so the people gathered together and decided to rebel against the queen.  What they really wanted was a king who could rule them well and lead them to battle.  The mob came to the palace and started shouting at the top of their voices ‘we want a ruler!’ .The queen got out from the palace and asked them “What do you want?  A ruler, one who can lead you to battle?  My beloved husband the king died trying to save azalea and now Prince Xeodes has just died trying to do the same thing.
                    How many lives have we lost?  Yet you still want to go and battle the same monsters that killed our kings, I am the queen and I declare that no one shall go to war.”  When the queen finished her decree, immediately a dragon flew from azalea.  The mob said to each other that the queen was working with the dragons.  One of them said, “We no longer take orders from you betrayer, you work with the dragons.  Here by as the people of azalea, we choose Roxburch from the town of philixea as our king.”  The crowd shouted Roxburch’s name.               
                   The queen said to them, “Our law does not say that any body can just become king, our law says that only the prince or princes can become king.  And the kingship is inherited by people from the royal blood line.”  “  Let me tell you something Queen Elisa, Roxburch is a man who indeed we think will make a perfect king.  He trains here at the palace everyday. He is a strong and non-fearing man.  He can lead us to defeating the dragons.  We have changed the law”
                  When the queen saw that the crowd was angry, she went back to the palace. Xeodes body was put in a grave and the queen applied him aloes.  When the Artemis came to vital kingdom, they blind folded Morgana and carried her.  After carrying her for some minutes, they put her down and gave her a bottle.  They told her to pour a drop of it in her eyes.  They then warned her not to look around.  Morgana did as she was told.  After that, the Artemis told Morgana to repeat what he will say ‘blindeth my eyes no see no turn to statue when I see my friends.’  When she said those words, she felt as if the liquid was burning her eyes.  She opened her eyes but could not see anything.  She stayed blind for some minutes and then could see again
                  To her surprise, when she looked around she saw hundreds of Artemis.  They all bowed before her and called her master.  “Why are they calling me master?” Morgana asked, “On our way did we not tell you what happened.”  “Oh, right.”  Morgana looked at their faces, they looked ugly to her, but she did not want to hurt their feelings so she told them that they looked cute.
                                     Morgana got new friends, the Male Artemis told Morgana that there training would start the following day.  “You did not tell me your name.”  Morgana told the male Artemis, “I don’t have a name.”  It replied Morgana told him “If you do not have a name well, I will give you one.  From now on, your new name will be Xeed.  Short name, for you to remind me of Xeodes.”  She started mourning remembering the same monster she gave a name is the same monster that killed her brother.
                   Xeed then said, “He killed my twenty sons and thirty three daughters a total of fifty three children.  I hope you understand why I had to do that.”  Morgana stood up angrily and said, “You hope I understand?  Well, I do not understand because he was trying to protect me from those little monsters.”  They argued until Xeed said, “Those children you call monsters are my sons and daughters.  The reason they took you was to bring you home.  They wanted to protect you from humans, because what they knew was that the humans were evil.
                 The other Artemis heard what Morgana had said and that she had called them monsters.  They got mad at her, none of them wanted to stay next to her because they thought she had become evil like the other humans.  The next day, Morgana thought of what Xeed had said to her.  She realized that the Artemis that was sniffing around had felt the smell of a human and it was fighting to protect its siblings, but when it came, it smelt something more, her.  Therefore, it tried to protect her first.  The reason why it was hitting her with a log was so that she could not scream because that would help the humans locate her very fast.
Morgana went to apologize to Xeed and he forgave her.  Then she said, “Listen up friends, I am really sorry for what I said last night.  I really did not mean what I said.  You guys are smart and cute.”  They became friends with Morgana and gave her a book to read.  It was full of spells but she asked a question, which shocked all of them, “what if I do not want to become a witch?”
