Edda and Arthur finished their food pretty quickly, the air surprisingly not as tense as Arthur thought it would be after he told Edda about his identity. If anything Edda looked somewhat elated, as if a weight had fell off her shoulders. Maybe it was from telling him about her troubles, which had made Arthur's blood positively boil when he heard them. To think her family would just treat her like that, and that no one around them did anything to stop it! Well, no more, he had decided, if they had the guts to go after her again, he would do everything to stop them from even laying a single hand on her!
After they were done they collected the plates and eating utensils in the tray the food had been brought in on. Making a small note about maybe fitting the water pitcher on the tray as well, Edda had moved over to the nightstand to pick it up, only for her to freeze.
"Everything alright?" Arthur asked, walking up to her tray in his hands.
"Oh, yeah," Eddas head shook a little as she tore her eyes away from the window, which Arthur now realised she had been looking through. "Just realised that the sun is a bit closer to the horizon then I thought it would be, we must have really been in here for a while."
Arthur looked out fo the window, and while he couldn't see much from where he was standing he could see the sun, which had started to lower itself quite a bit from the top of the sky.
"It seems so Edda." He said, looking over at her again. The trip had had a few unplanned hiccups on the way, so he guessed it sort of made sense? "Think we can still make it to Endeslattaren at this point?"
"Maybe???" Edda said, uncertainty in her voice. She raised her fist to her cheek in thought, "Though maybe we could see if we can get a room here for the evening and night instead..."
"Could ask about that when we return the dishes." Arthur suggested, raising the tray up in front of himself to accept the pitcher.
"Yeah, let's do that." Edda gave him a nod, before noticing the tray in front of her, and placing down the pitcher on it. She turned to move towards the door, before turning to him again, looking pointedly at the tray "...I can take that if you don't want to carry it you know." She said in an odd tone.
"Ah, don't worry M'lady. Arthur here can carry this tray," he moved over the tray to one hand, flexing his other, now free, arm, "just fine."
Edda looked a him with a strange, conflicted look, though he did notice just a little twitch in the corner of her mouth. Just as he began to feel a little worried over her odd reaction, she let out a small snort and shook her head.
"Alright then..." there was a short contemplative pause. "Arty." She opened the door, and went through it, Arthur hurrying up behind her with a small kick in his step at the sight of a small smile, finally gracing her face since his identity reveal.
As soon as they got downstairs to the front desk however, Eddas smile quickly dropped, and Arthur immediately tensed up, at the too familiar voice loudly complaining to someone in the lounging area.
"Don't place that there idiot! I'm writing an important letter to your royal family here! I do not want food on it!" Simons voice roared out through the open door to the room.
"What." Edda hissed under her breath, and Arthur couldn't believe it as well.
Did Simon have contact with the royal family themselves!? How did that bastard manage to do that. Sure Edda had mentioned her monster of a brother having some close contact with the prince, and said prince had been the one behind the lion attack, but that couldn't mean the entire royal family would team up with him could it?
A man that Arthur recognised as one of the servers that had brought the food to them before stepped out of the lounging room with a sigh.
"Knogträ is not going to like them being back so soon," he muttered, before noticing Edda and Arthur, making his frown immediately turn into a polite smile. "Oh! Thank you for bringing those down with you, did you enjoy your meal?" He hurried forward and took the tray. "Anything else I could help you two with?"
