(Years upon years later)
Sapnap and Karl are sitting in their backyard, it's summer and it's almost 12 years ago since they told their friends they were actually dating.
They are holding hands as always, a silver ring glittering in the sun, Sapnap looked at it fondly, God, he still remembered their wedding, everyonr they knew was there. It was the happiest day of his life. He can't really fathom that it's already been 9 years since that day and he's still as happy as ever with the handsome man next to him.
Suddenly they hear screaming, their kids are running after each other and even though they live in a chill neighborhood, they don't want noise complaints.
"Guys, please be a little more quiet! We would love to stay friends with the neighbors."
Luckily for them, the children listened to them for once, normally they would just scream and yell as much as they wanted until the neighbor told them to tone it down.
After a while their oldest daughter comes up to them, she's currently 10 years old, they adopted her about 8 years ago.
"Dad, today at school the teacher was talking about how their parents met and started being in love, how did that happen with you?"
Karl sat up, a small twinkle in his eyes: "Come sit with us, because this can be a pretty weird and long story, but me and your dad both enjoyed it a lot."
Sapnap was excited to tell her their story, but he let Karl start, because he loved hearing his boy tell a story and completely getting into it.
"So me and dad were best friends for a LONG while before we even started seeing each other like that. See, your dad always had weird plans and I would always follow along with them, because I loved the chaos. We were friends for 13 years when he proposed a certain plan and if I'm being honest, this was the strangest plan he had ever since we became friends."
"So daddy, what was the plan, I want to know!" She became excited about the story and she was a very impatient child, Sapnap and Karl always joked she had it from Karl, even though that's basically impossible.
Karl shushed her and kept going: "Well dad said he wanted to play a game, we had to act like we were in love. He wanted us to hold hands and sometimes even kiss on the lips and the first one who actually fell in love, lost the game."
"Wow, that's so weird! I can now make Melody jealous, because her parents just met at a party and they were immediately in love." Sapnap and Karl both chuckled at the girl's statement before Sapnap kept talking.
"We pretended we were in love and everyone thought it was real. Uncle George, Uncle Dream and Uncly Quackity all thought it was real, even if it wasn't at that moment. After a while daddy started feeling those feelings and he asked uncle George what he should do, Uncle George was very shocked that we lied, but he helped daddy a lot."
"Dad, you're not allowed to lie, you always tell me I can't, but you did it for fun!" She sat inbetween the men with a mad expression and her arms crossed.
"I know honey. Let's keep going with the story, okay? So Uncle George helped daddy figure it out. On a weekend me and daddy were having a sleepover, we always had sleepovers, ever since we were a kid. On that sleepover we got a little bored, so I took daddy out to get his favorite food-"
Before Sapnap could finish his sentence the girl interrupts him: "Pizza!"
Sapnap chuckles, Karl kept talking about things in the way he always used to, so everyone around them exactly knows what he loves. Sapnap continues: "Yes, pizza. After the pizza we went to a place to look at the stars, we layed down in the grass for a long time, before it got too cold, we didn't want to get sick! Your dads didn't bring jackets! We should've obviously, but we were both a little stubborn. So we were ready to go, but we secretly didn't want to go home. So I hugged daddy close to me and I told him I didn't care about losing anymore and I asked him to be my boyfriend then and there. Luckily he said yes!"
"But dad, you lied to all of my Uncles, what did they think about it?"
"They were very confused, they were convinced me and daddy were already in love for real, but they supported us no matter what. They wanted us happy and that's what we were and still are. And that's what I wish for you, honey. Someone that loves you and take cares of you when we can't anymore or when you don't allow us anymore."
Their daughter got up and hugged both her fathers before she muttered: "I'm going to make Melody so jealous!"
