#4 the explanation

I'm back again with a quick notice ik it's boring but I'll just let you guys know that I'll follow the storyline sometimes but i'll also just improvise a bit along the way of the story just letting y'all know anyway back to the story

✵--time skip to when you were back at Anteiku--✵

Once we were back at Anteiku we entered the café again. Touka was standing behind the bar together with Nishiki while the new kid was getting the orders of the customers. I thanked Hinami for taking me to my sister and then the little girl went upstairs.

I turned around to face Touka. She was busy making some kind of coffee I think it was an expresso or something by the looks of it. She handed the cup to the new kid and then turned her gaze to me and walked away from the bar telling Nishiki she was gonna take a break.

"And how was she?"

"She seemed okay.
I'm glad I could
see her but..."

"Hey... there's nothing
you could've done. You
where still captured
by big madam cause you
wanted to protect her."

I switched my gaze to the ground and leaned against a wall. She looked at me and walked closer and put a hand on my shoulder.

"Do you know what
kinda job you wanna
do already?"

she laughed.

"Uuggghhh
I don't know yet but
I'm not working in the
café again. We al know how
that worked out last time."

Both of us started to laugh because last time I worked here was when I was sixteen and I broke 39 things...in one day. Let's just say that waitress isn't my thing. Touka looked deep in thought probably thinking of some kind of job I couldn't do without breaking so much.

"You know y/n I think
I may know something
although I don't know
for sure if you'll be able
to work there because
Uta never had an assistant
in his shop before or at
least not that I know of."

"What kind of job is it?"

She explained that it was somewhere in the 4th ward and that it was in a mask shop that made masks for ghouls. But to my suprise the owner of that shop was Uta my former boss and friend.

"Well well how about that,

let's pay my former boss

another visit then"

"Well are you finally going
to show yourself to him
and tell him who you are?~"

I looked at her in confusing, raising one eyebrow.

"What's with the tone Touka???"

she leaned closer to me.

"We all know you
had a secret little crush on Uta~"

I looked at her with widened eyes. How did she know, no wait how did they all know. my face became flustered.

"how...?"

"Well it wasn't that hard to figure out.
everytime you talked about Uta
there was something in your tone
and eyes."

I signed in defeat. i deadpanned and let my head fall on the table.

"oh gooooddddd. it

was that obvious huh?"

"yeah~"

We talked some more after that and laughed a little. Nishiki joined our conversation too after a while and then we all laughed together.
