Will stared at Scott's sleeping face.
"He's coming apart at the seams," he stated.
Ana nodded. "How do I fix him?"
Will sat back. "The only thing that has held this trainwreck of a man together is a combination of repressing memories, discarding his emotions and his obsession with surgery/ killing."
Ana swallowed.
"If seems he's started to develop and expound on genuine emotion for you, and also has let you take the surgeries place as his obsession. This has destabilized him. Those memories are unsealing themselves, and the emotions along with them."
"And he is unable to self regulate those emotions or those memories. He requires his obsession to do that. Which is now-"
"Me," she finished with a whisper. "God will if I had known."
"Well It's already in motion. He seems to be flickering between memories. I'm not sure what he'll do. I would take kids away. No need to traumatize them more."
"The girls are with the nanny at our summer home," Ana said, "we need to focus in stabilizing Scott."
Scott shifted as he woke up. "Ana," he smiled, "Ana, there you are Ana."
He reached out to her. "Come here,"
She smiled, sitting down next to Scott. She brushed her back, kissing his head.
"Hey there...you doing okay?" She said softly, stroking his face.
He closed his eyes. "Yes...I'm doing better now that you're here. Who's he?"
"This is Will."
"Hello, Scott," Will smiled.
Scott shifted, pulling Ana into his arms. "Am I missing something? Did we have a threesome last night?"
Will sighed. "No. I'm..."
"Wait," Scott frowned. "Didn't I kill you? In China. Didn't I kill you? I remember, don't you Ana?"
Morgana looked up at Will. "I've never been to China."
Scott frowned. "Then...but I remember..."
Ana took his hand. "Scott what else do you remember? Where are you now do you know?"
"I'm home. I'm not crazy it's just...my memories are a little jumbled. I...where are the kids?"
"Summer camp," she smiled.
He frowned. "Are you trying to commit me? Because I won't go back into a hospital."
"You work in a hospital," Ana noted.
"I-" he paused. "I don't know why I work in a hospital. I hate hospitals. I don't know why I became a doctor when I hate doctors! And I don't know why I choose surgery when I-" he touched the scar on his chest.
He looked away. "Everything feels very odd now."
He looked up Ana. "But you're here. And that's all that really matters anyway."
He laid his head in her shoulder smiling softly. "You're all I need."
He closed his eyes.
"You know we want you-"
Scott opened his eyes. "You want me? People usually want you when you're 10. When you're older...it's no fun."
Ana glanced at Will. "I meant, I want you to take some time off. Let's...let's take some time you and me."
"I'll do whatever you want," Scott promised. He sighed, laying back down.
"You know something?"
Ana say up, noting his clear tone. It was him.
He grinned. "Maybe it sucked for everyone else...but I felt better I was a sociopath." He slid his hand out of Ana's. "So let's fix this."
Ana smiled looking at her empty hand.
"These walls," she whispered. "Are white."
He frowned, looking at them before looking down.
He shook for a moment, making himself smaller. He squeezed his eyes shut.
Ana smiled, taking his hand again. He squeezed it tightly.
"It's okay, Scott. I'm here."
He nodded., sighing in relief.
Will's eyes widened in terror. "Wait-Morgana, you can't-"
Ana grinned, pushing hair back. "You know what, Will? I think I've got it from here. Right, Scott?"
Scott looked up at Will, glancing at Ana who nodded encouragingly.
"...Yes?"
Will shook his head, horror filling him, as Morgana coaxed Scott, her tone soft and loving. What had he done? He didn't know.
"Perhaps...it may be best to have Scott hospitalized to stabilize him. He may prove to be a threat to himself and others," Will rambled.
He had to get Scott away from her.
"Hospital?" Scott frowned. "I don't like hospitals. Ana you won't let him take me there will you?"
Morgana palmed his face. "Of course not, sweetheart. No one is gonna take you from me," she kissed his head. "I promise you that."
Will stood, stumbling away. "Morgana you...you shouldn't-you can't. It's wrong what you're doing to him."
"I'm taking care of my husband. I'm not doing anything to him. Will...are you jealous? Or do you think I should just give up on him?"
Will huffed. "You know what you're doing. I thought Scott was troubled. But maybe you're the one who should've been in that cell."
She cocked her head. "That's hurtful."
Will scoffed. "You don't seem hurt."
She shrugged. Scott was zoned out, his eyes on the comforter, his hands in Ana's. He looked up at Will briefly, and got a moment Will saw something.
A spark of recognition. Of what she was doing to him.
He quickly looked down, the spark fading, his eyes remaining lifeless.
Will stepped out of the door. There was nothing g he could do. Not here.
