For five days the war has been over and we are still recovering. I sit at the remains of the tree of magic. A scorched husk that used to be a beacon of hope. I'm alone in the sacred grove when I hear something fall I turn around and see a sapling lying on the ground. I go over and pick it up. It looks like a miniature version of the tree of magic. The tree of magic used to stand over a hundred feet tall and now all that's left is a stump. I walk over to the stump with the sapling in my hands and look at the stump. It's oddly shaped and has a three inch spire coming from the middle. All of a sudden the fury at what had happened came rushing on and with a yell I grabbed my sword and swing it at the spire, it came clean off. I stop curious. I walk over and look at where the spire was. There is a perfectly round hole with soft wet mud and I know what I have to do. I took the sapling and put it on the stump then dig a small hole in the dirt. I take the sapling and place it in and cover the base with mud. Then something odd happens. The sapling begins to hum and shake and I'm pretty sure that they're not supposed to do that. I take a few steps back and then there is a blinding white flash and there in all its glory is the tree of magic fully formed standing 100 feet tall. I am astounded at what I just did I look at the fallen trunk of the old tree of magic, it turns to ash. The ferns it had squished spring back as if they were never down. I look my mouth still open then stumble back to camp to show everyone.
