'Who are you now? Did you say what you want?...Sometimes you gotta fall before you fly...'
Emelia's POV

*3 days after the incident*

"How long before discharge?" I said forcefully to the doctor standing directly infront of me.

"Mrs.Haley, I understand you want your boys home. But you have to undertand, they were in serious condidtion none other than three days ago. We suggest the stay here to at least finish off the week. Then we can disscus discharge." He shot back.

"It offends me how you think I can't take care of my own children." I said storming off getting all hot in the cheeks.

I walked over to the waiting room where Christina (April's mom) was sitting stairing at the floor. I sat next to her.

There was a comforting silence for about 15 minutes until I decided to talk.

"It wasn't your fault." I said rubbing her back.

"But it is because I wasn't there. If I was there all the kids would've been fine. April would be in my arms."She trailed off. "Fire. Everything, it burns like fire. Her father and herself both died in a fire."

"Why don't you go home? You can stay at my house till we can find you a place." I said as I undid the key from the others and handed it to her. She gave me a small smile. "You can stay in the guest room."

"Thank you so much, you are the best friend anyone could have." She gratefully hugged me and walked off.

I walked down to the boys' room. When I entered Indy and Warren looked up at me. Leo was in the same place he was yesterday, the day before, and before that. I kneeled next to Indy.

"Has he eaten at all? Spoken? Has he done anything?" Indy just shook his head. I realized I got a worried expression across my face. I went over to Leo and sat next to him on the bed. I rubbed his back comforting him. His shoulders relaxed a bit.

"Hon... You gotta eat, you're gonna starve..."I wispered to him "It's not your fault."

"Yes it is..."
