Chapter Fifteen

I follow his car what feels like forever. I can see a field of trailers. This is it? An RV Park? I follow him to the last RV on the lot.  We. get out of our cars and I give him a look of confusion and he just smiles at me. He knocks on the metal frame door. I can hear someone trying to open the door.
"Well, it's about time! Didn't think you two would show up." She says with a cockney accent.

A woman with dark wavy long black hair lean silhouette and big brown eyes leans against the doorway. Dressed to the nines with her hair and make-up done. Bling everywhere as far as the eye can see.

"Name's Midge, love. I know you were wondering." She says to me. 

"How?..." I say dumbfounded.
"I know everything Lilliann." She winks.

What in the actual fuck! Who is this woman??? How does she know my real name?

"Come on in. Let's get this started." She motions for us to come in the trailer.
"Liam what is going on?"
"She's well..."

"Gypsy is what they call me and proud of it!" She says with spunk.
"Gypsy? Like fortune teller? You don't look..."
"Oh love we've upgraded. We're fabulous now and wear Gucci. But yes, we still have old world charm."

Her trailer is emaculate. You could literally eat off the floor. She leads us to her living room. We all sit down anticipating what is coming next.
"I'm sorry to stare but you're so beautiful." I compliment her.
"Thanks, love. So you're wanting to know about your dreams, eh?"
"Well yeah. And other things."
"Come here and lay down for me." she motions for me to lay on the floor.

I lay myself on the ground and she places her hands over my head. "Ah I see. Right then."

"Well?"
"You my dear need an unlocking root. Let me see what I have." She turns toward her kitchen going through her cabinets.
"Here take this tonight before you go to sleep. It'll help you unlock your memories and give you all the answers you need."
"What?"
"Your memories...They're locked."She shouts at me." See you and Liam have a very special ability. Since you've lived a life before you can share memories. But yours are locked. He showed you some of his at the lake." "How do you know about that?"
"I'm telling you she's good!" Liam confirms.
"Being as you are bound together. You have a certain electricity that courses through the both of ya. So, let's say when you kiss or even touch, you can exchange memories, thoughts, whatever you want." 
"That explains it." Liam says.
"Liam wanted you to remember so badly that he forced those moments to you. Cool huh?"

"Yeah..."
"Liam you should be heading off now. The council will be wanting to see ya."
"Seriously?" He groans.
"Yes. They have matters to discuss." She warns him.

Liam gets up and starts his way to the door. I follow his lead. 

"Not you love. Sit." She grabs my shoulder.

"Wait, whatever you have to say to her..."Liam says turning around. "Doesn't concern you. Girl talk. Ya know." She tells Liam.

She waits until Liam is gone. She moves over and sits next to me. "So, ya scared. I get that. But you have nothing to be scared about. Paris was never going to work for you anyway. This is your destiny."
Damn! She's good.
"I need to stop being so surprised. This whole trip has been a whirlwind." 

"It's not a trip. You're home now, love."

"So, you know what's going to happen?"
"I've known for centuries. That's what keeps me in business."
"How old are you?"
"Human years or...."
"Or what?" I say Raising an eyebrow.
"I'm 43."
"God, I hope I age like you."

We both share a laugh. It's nice to have a human moment with someone who oddly already knows my future.
"So what can you tell me?"
"Not much. You need to figure it out."
"I'm just so lost."
"I know.That's apart of your journey. But your aunt was wrong. Ya need to listen to your heart. It knows a thing or two."
"Hhhhmmm." I wonder.
"Well that's it better be on your way. Finn is getting worried about ya." She says gesturing me to get up.

She walks me towards the door. Just as I am about to step down she turns around.

"Oh one more thing, love."
"Yeah?"
"Let the necklace lead the way. You'll know what I mean." 

"Uh ok?"

"Until our paths meet again, Lillian." She waves and shuts the door.

I finally get back to Finn's and he's ready to ask me 50 million questions on what happened. I fill him in on everything. But he seems more interested in Midge and how she knows about him. Forget all the other stuff she told me. I've been her for 4 days now and it feels like I've been here for weeks with everything going on. No word from anyone from home. I need to contact Sam. But what do I tell him. He's never going to believe all of this. I decide to pull out my phone and video call Sam. I make my way back to the guest room to have some privacy.

"Well look who it is!" He says.
"Hey Sam!"
"Don't respond to my emails or anything..."
"I didn't get any from you. But I haven't been checking. Sorry."
"It's ok I know you're dealing with a lot. So how's Ireland?"
"I'm learning a lot." I laugh.
"Like what?"
"Oh just about the family and the country."
"Did you find out what the deal with your mom is with Liam?"
"Uhh no."
"Hhhmm well she misses you. I told her you were staying at Ann's and to give you time."
"Thanks. I do need to call her at some point." 

"Yeah. Your sister is worried too. She said she's been texting you."
"I know. I can't text back. It'll cost a fortune."
"That's true." He agrees.
"So have you met Liam's family yet? When's the wedding?" He jokes.
I get silent.
"I was just kidding you know that D. What's up? I know when something is wrong? Oh my god! did you get married????"
"NO!" I quickly react.
"Then what?"
"Just a lot has happened since I got here and I really can't explain." 

"Dahlia, you know you can trust me."
I can't help it I breakdown and start crying.
"Dahlia what is going on??? You don't cry like this?"
"My real name isn't Dahlia." I blurt out. Crap! I just realized what I said. "Excuse me what?"

"It's Lillian Murphy."
"What the fuck??? Explain!" He demands.
"Please Sam don't tell a soul!"
"Scouts honor!" He promises.
"So, apparently I was born here in Ireland. My mom ran off with me to America and changed our names."
"What???" He says in shock.
"Something happened with my father and she went into hiding." I fib a little because I don't think he can handle the full story.
"So that's why she didn't want you with Liam. She didn't want you going there and finding the truth."
"Yeah." I say not looking at Sam through the phone.
"Wow! this is like some TV drama stuff."
"So what about your dad?"
"Well I always knew Murphy was the family name I just never put it together. I just thought we took my moms last name. But she changed it to Fern when she got to America. And I found out he died here in a car accident."
"I'm sorry Dahlia. I'm lost for words right now."
"Yeah. I'm lost period."
"When are you coming back?"
"I'm not sure yet."
"Well if you need me, no matter what time. I'm here. Even if you want to ugly cry on video chat." Sam offers sincerely.
"Uh! Sam always with the right words." I say wiping the tears from my face. "Hey seriously. I'm here for you. I know it's gonna be a rough talk with your mom when you get to it."
"I don't even want to think about it."
"Well just relax for now. And don't forget to check in with me. Ok?"
"Ok. Thanks Sam."
"Always amigo!"

I end the video chat with some sort of relief. I just wish I could tell him everything. But for now I have to keep it silent. I reach into my back pocket and pull out the root pill. I glare at it with wonder. What is it going to unlock and how is is going to change things? I change into my pajamas and prepare myself for what is to come. I take the pill in my hands and roll it around unsure if I should actually take it.
"Here goes nothing." I say to myself as I swallow it down with a swig of water.

I gently lay my head on the pillow and try to fall asleep but so much is

going through my mind. I try counting sheep, I try reading a book, I try counting backwards but nothing works. I'm still awake. I keep tossing and turning in my bed just waiting to fall asleep. Then it finally comes.
