Then i cant hear them at all over the siren of the ambulance.

I Wake up to a white room with blinding lights

I squint and look around the white room

Im in a hospital room?

My eyes land on a male doctor doing chart work

"Excuse me" i try to talk but my words wont come out

My throat hurts so bad...

"Excuse me" I finally manage whisper

"Oh good, Youre awake. You will need to answer questions" The doctor says

"Do i have to right now? I need to see my friend.. She came in with me. I need to see if shes ok" i say trying to sit up

A male officer walks in my room

"Ma'am Im sorry but its best we do it now when everything is fresh.." he says

"Exactly.. Its all still fresh.. Its like rubbing salt into an open wound." i say as my eyes start welling up with tears

"You can go at your own pace but we will need you to help us within the hour." he says

"I need to see my friend first." i say to both the cop and the doctor

"Ma'am thats not safe.. You need to stay in bed." the doctor says

"Either you let me see her or i wont talk." i say looking at him as serious as i can

"Ma'am.. You really need to stay in bed. You have too many injuries that getting up could make much worse.. You can see her later." he says while slightly pushing me back down

"Fine." i say and wait for the doctor to leave

"I will be standing right outside of your door to make sure nobody messes with you." the cop says

I swing my legs over the side of my bed and start pushing myself into the standing position

'Ma'am! What are you doing? Stay in bed" he says coming over to me

"Either you help me out of this bed or i will do it myself" as i say that he grabs my hand and helps me up

"What are you doing? You cant go outside of your room.." he says

I have to think of a quick believable lie.. "Bathroom" i say

"OK. be careful" he says and lets my hand go

As soon as he backs up a little bit i run as fast as i can past him and out into the hall

I go to the nurses station

"Where is my friend? Jamie.. She came in with me.. Please" i say quickly seeing the police round the corner

"Room 244 down that hallway" a nurse says

"Thank you" i say before running again

"Stop! Get back here" the cop shouts and starts running faster towards me

I flashback to the time on the couch with lucas when he violated me

I stop for a second while breathing shallowly

The officer grabs my arm and I quickly pull it away from him

"Please do not touch me" i say with tears in my eyes

"Im sorry. But youre going to hurt yourself and especially your foot more than you already have if you keep running" he says with his hands up as if hes surrendering
