The next morning I get up and get ready because dad wants to talk business with me.
I put on some clothes and brush out my hair and head downstairs.
"Hey what's up?" Morgan asked.
"Umm heading with you guys to work. Dad wants to talk business with me." I said.
"Yeah, he mentioned that." She said.
"I think Jax is going to take me so that he can bring me back to work. Jessa knows not to come early." I said.
"Oooh, I see you and Jax are getting close." She smirked.
"I like Jax. He's a sweet guy." I smile.
"Is that all I'm getting?" She asks.
"For now yes." I smile just as Jax knocks on the door.
"Morning Jax!" I smile.
"Are you ready?" He asked.
"Sure am let's go," I said walking toward him.
We walk to his house and he opens his truck door for me before walking around to his side.
"Morgan was giving me looks." He said.
"It's because she wants information and I haven't given her anything." I smile over at him.
"We are leaving a little early because I need to stop by the shop and check that freezer." He said.
"Oh ok, no problem Jax. Are you bringing me an ice cream for breakfast?" I ask.
"If you want one sure. What flavor?" He asked.
"Surprise me." I smile as we pull up.
I watch him go inside and he was in there a good 10-15 minutes before coming out with two ice cream cones.
I lean over and open the door for him and he laughs and hands me a cone. "Oreo cookie ok?"
"Ooh, Jax that's one of my favorites." I smile.
"Good if not you can have my mint chocolate chip." He smiled.
"Did you get the freezer working?" I asked.
"Oh it's working I just wanted to make sure it still was this morning." He said.
We pull up at the shop and it's early so we sit and finish our ice cream.
"So what do you think your dad wants?"
"Oh Jax I have no idea but it has to do with business so I'm guessing my shirts but I'm not sure."
"Before everyone pulls up can I get a kiss?" He asked.
"I like how you ask but sure," I said as he moved over in his seat and pulled my face close to his, and kissed my lips. Nothing crazy but more than a peck.
When we broke apart Jax's eyes were big. I looked at him and he pointed and when I turned around Ethan was standing there with his mouth open.
I put the window down and smiled at him. "You didn't see anything Ethan."
"Fine I didn't see anything but I must say I like you two together." He smiled.
"Thanks... We aren't sure what we are doing yet so we were trying to keep it between us." I said.
"Fine I'll be quiet but I want a free ice cream." He laughed.
Jax laughed... "Deal! Now can you go away so I can kiss my girl again?"
"Fine, I'm gone!" Ethan laughed walking off.
"He won't tell he's not like that," I said as he leaned in for another kiss.
As soon as we broke apart dad pulled in. "Damn that was close." He laughed.
"Are you ready to go in?" I ask him.
"Well umm in a min. I'm trying to think about leapfrog." He laughed.
I burst out laughing because I knew he meant my grandparents.
Dad walked over to the passenger side and opened my door. "Morning Lanie Bug!"
"Morning Dad! We will be right in." I smiled.
"Alrighty." He said looking at both of us before walking off.
"Dad has a suspicion did you see that look?"
"Yeah I saw it but I'm not sure how to take it." He laughed.
We walked inside and Jax went over to his station and I followed dad back to his office.
"So what's up dad? Why did I need to come to the office?"
"Well, I have something for you that I want you to look at. The building next door to us is now up for rent or sale and I think I want to buy it and move you in there with your sewing."
"Really dad?"
"Yeah, I think it will be good for you. You can do alterations for people after you get Morgan's dress completed. And well Jessa can move in and help you as well. What do you think?" He asked.
"I think it's a great idea. Can we go over and see the building?" I asked him.
"Sure I have the key let's go." He said.
We head out the door and walk over and dad unlocks the door and we walk in. "Oh, it's a big nice area if we wanted to sell shirts and things," I said.
"That's what I thought as well. And we can fix the outside patio so you guys can come out there as well. I already have it planned in my head." He laughed.
"Oh, dad I love it, and thank you for thinking of me. I swear when I make money I will pay you back." I said.
"Now don't be mad at me Lanie bug but I also got you a vehicle. I know it's a car you like and it will be delivered later today." He said.
"Really dad? You know how to make a girl cry." I said hugging him.
"I just want you to get on your feet and get your life going and well I see the way you and Jax are and if that's what you want I'm all for it. Jax is a great guy." He said.
"He is a nice guy dad and I do like him and he likes me but we are just taking things extra slow. I didn't tell you that because I haven't told Morgan anything." I laugh.
"It's killing her I'm sure." He laughed.
"Oh yes, it is." I smile.
He locks the door. "Come on Lanie Bug let's go get you a tattoo." Dad laughed.
