Today we are thirty weeks pregnant and the doctor said everything looks great.

Jax is obsessed with taking pics of my belly and I think it's cute.

Mom brought over the pictures of Gavin kissing her belly and I stared at them for the longest time. There isn't a doubt I look just like him.

Do I feel bad for not including him in Axel's name? I don't think so. But I wish I could have known him. I'm sure he would have been a terrific dad.

I pick up my Gavin bear and squeeze it. This bear has gotten me through some tough times.

Jax walks in there. "What are you doing in here?"

"Just looking at pictures of Gavin and mom when she was pregnant with me."

"Can I see them?" He asked.

"Of course," I said handing them over as he sits on the bed.

"Wow, Lanie you look just like him. Your smile for sure." He said.

"I didn't know until I sat here and stared at them." I smile.

"How are you feeling?" He asked.

"Emotional like I could cry a bucket full but I'm fine really." I smile over at him.

He hands me back the pictures and scoots over close to me. "I love you Lanie."

"I love you too. I guess I should get up and get dressed I have some things to work on today at the shop." I said.

"Yeah, I have some tattoos myself to do today. What do you want to wear?" He asked.

"Any maternity dress I have and some flats please," I said closing my eyes.

After getting dressed Jax helped me down to the jeep and we headed to work.

I must have fallen asleep in the jeep because Jax woke me up placing kisses on my face.

"We are here sleepy head."

"Sorry, Jax I guess I'm just tired." I yawned.

"It's ok. I mean you are making another human." He laughed.

"True!" I laugh.

He helps me inside before leaving me to work on dresses.

I had just laid my phone down when my phone rang

📞 Hello?

📞 Lanie, it's officer Bryant. Good morning!

📞 Good morning officer, how's it going?

📞 It's too early to tell. How are you?

📞 I'm good. Pregnant but good.

📞 Oh wow, congratulations!

📞 Thank you! So I know there is a reason you called?

📞 Yeah, there is a reason. I received word very early this morning that Reggie passed this morning.

📞 What? really?

📞 Yeah, his brain injury was more than they thought.

📞 I hate that he died but I can't say that I'm sorry or anything.

📞 I understand Lanie. Take care of yourself and that baby and when it arrives I want pics.

📞 It's a boy but you got it. Thanks for letting me know.

📞 No problem.

I hang up the phone and jump up to go tell Jax.  When I walk in next door about everyone is there.

"Can I speak to you guys for a minute?" I ask.

"What's up, babe?" Jax asked walking over.

"Officer Bryant just called me. Reggie's brain injury was worse than they originally thought and he died this morning." I said.

"Wow!" Jax said.

"That's what the scumbag got," Dad said.

"I can't say I'm sad or sorry for him after what he put me through. All I feel is relief." I said.

Jax pulls me in for a hug. "As long as your alright then I'm good."

"I'm fine I just wanted to tell you guys." I smiled.

Jax kissed me before I left and I walked back over to the shop just as Jessa and Sunny pulled up.

Once inside I told them what happened and then we had a productive day.

By the time work was over my body was tired and my feet were swelled. I was ready to go home and take a nap.

Jax walked over to get me and the girls said they would lock up they had a bit more to do.

Once in the jeep, Jax asked if we could stop for food and I agreed because I was hungry.

Once it was picked up we headed home. When we got there we went inside and after having to pee I went to the kitchen.

"Where do you want to eat babe?" Jax asked.

"The porch is fine with me Jax," I said.

"So how are you feeling with the news about Reggie?" He asked dishing out our food.

"Honestly? A relief that he won't be coming back for me or our baby. I hate he died and I truly hate it for his family but he had terrible issues that he never got help with." I said.

"Yeah I'm sad for his family but I'm glad he can't access, my family, anymore." He said handing me an egg roll.

"How are you and Axel today?" He asked.

"I think we are good. He has been kicking up a storm. I think this food is his favorite." I laugh.

"Baby it's hard to believe that he will be here soon." He smiled.

"I'm very excited about that Jax."

Once we eat and he cleaned up the mess I stayed outside on the porch.

"Did you want to go for a walk on the beach?" He asked.

"I don't think I can my feet are so swelled." I frowned.

"How about we drive down to the bridge so you don't have far to walk?" He asked.

"That would work. Let me go pee for the hundredth time." I laugh.

Once at the bridge he picked me up and carried me over to our spot.

"You didn't have to carry me, Jax," I said holding him tight around his neck.

"I would do anything for you, Lanie. I love you so much."

"I love you more Jax." I smile at him and then lean in for a kiss as we approached our spot.

He put me down and we sit on the beach and watched the tide roll in.
