I labored through the night and mom, dad and Jax tried to sleep sitting up in the chairs.
Around 5 am Dr. Cheryl came back in to check me and I was finally ten centimeters.
Dr. Cheryl said dad could stay in the room if I wanted and he did but he sit behind the curtain because he wanted to be in the room.
Mom held one leg and Jax held my hand and helped me count to push.
It was hard to push with not feeling anything besides pressure but around seven good pushes and Axel came screaming into the world.
"Congrats guys! Your baby boy is here!" Dr. Cheryl said placing him on my chest.
When I got to look at him I started crying. He was here with a full head of hair and strong lungs.
Dr. Cheryl handed Jax the scissors and he cut the cord.
They took him away to clean him up and weigh him while I delivered the placenta.
Once that was all over and they brought Axel back over to me and placed him in my arms I was instantly in love.
Dad walked back from behind the curtain to get a look and for a big strong tattoo guy, he was crying.
"Can we know the name now?? It's killing us." Mom said.
Jax leaned down and kissed me. "You have done such a great job, Lanie. I'm so proud of you and our son is so beautiful."
"I love you, Jax."
"I love you too Lanie." He said kissing me again.
"Ok lovebirds can we know the name now? It's killing us." Dad laughed.
"I'm glad it's just you two in the room because we wanted you to know first," I said.
I looked at Jax and he smiled squeezing my hand.
"Mom, dad I want you to meet Axel Kash Carver."
Mom gasp and dad started to ugly cry. "Really Lanie bug? You named him after me?" Dad said.
"Of course dad! You are the first man I ever loved and well Jax picked Axel and I picked Kash." I smile up at him.
Dad wipes his eyes and leans down and kisses my forehead. "Pop-pop is going to spoil you, Axel."
"Oh, we know you will if it's anything like his bedroom." Jax laughs.
I hand him off to Jax to hold him and I can't take my eyes off of them. My heart feels like it will combust at any moment.
Jax hands him off to mom and she cries when she holds him and kisses his little head and then finally she hands him over to dad.
Dad doesn't want to give him up when Morgan and Trace walk in with blue cigars to give out.
Wasn't long until Dee and Anthony came and they were all in tears as well.
"Sis what is his name? You haven't told us." Morgan asked.
"Sorry, we told mom and dad and then forgot. His name is Axel Kash Carver." I smiled.
"Oooh, Axel is definitely going to ride a motorcycle." Morgan laughed.
"Hey not so fast." Jax laughed.
It wasn't long until the nurse came in wanting to teach me how to nurse and everyone left.
"I love our family but I was ready for some alone time with you and Axel," Jax said.
"Yeah me too. I hope he latches on and then I can get some rest." I yawned.
Axel was a pro and he latched on and drank and then I burped him and we all settled in for a nap.
Jax crawled in the bed with me and we cuddled up as best as we could with Axel beside us in his bed.
When we woke up Jessa and Tony walked in with a big ole blue giraffe.
"Hey, guys!" I smile.
"We came to meet my nephew." Tony smiled.
"Get on over here and meet Axel," Jax said.
"Axel? I love it!" Jessa smiled.
"Axel Kash Carver," I said to her.
"Oh, I bet your dad cried like a baby." She giggled.
"You know he did. Tony do you want to hold him?" I asked.
"Yeah but I don't know how to pick him up." He said.
"I will get him for you." Jax grinned walking over and scooping Axel up in his arms and places him in Tony's arms.
"I didn't know how I would feel to be an uncle but this is awesome and he's pretty handsome. I can see a bit of both of you in him." Tony said.
"I can too. He has a mix of both of you for sure." Jessa smiled.
"Morgan wants to teach him to ride a motorcycle but I think maybe you can teach him how to play ball of some kind." I laugh.
"Oh yeah, soccer or football would be safer," Tony said.
"Can I hold him now please?" Jessa laughed.
I smiled as I watched them easily switch Axel over to Jessa's arms.
The door opened and Sunny walked in with DJ and they had a stuffed bear. "Hey, guys!"
Sunny walks over to the bed. "How are you momma?"
"I'm good thank you! Just glad Axel is here." I smile.
"Axel? DJ asked.
"Axel Kash Carver," Jax said.
"Oh man, I bet Kash was ecstatic." DJ laughed.
"He cried DJ and you know that doesn't happen often." I laughed.
"No, that it doesn't. He's too tough to cry." He laughed.
They all took turns holding Axel until he had a dirty diaper and then they didn't want him.
I changed his diaper and Jax helped me. He's really going to be a hands-on father and I cant wait to see the two together.
Right now I feel that my life is complete. Going to California was the worst mistake that I ever made but coming back home was the right decision.
After everyone left Jax and I sit in the bed and just looked at Axel. He was the most perfect baby I have ever seen but then again maybe I'm biased.
