Chapter 15

"Come on, Li, we've been here for hours now. You can do your homework later also" Harry grumbled as he shut another comic book and pet Coco's head as she jumped on the bed.

Mark had to be under observation for few more days, so Liam and Louis had to miss school. Harry and Zayn used to bring the homework for them. Louis was too lazy to do his work, so it was Liam who did his brother's work as well.

"It's because of your boyfriend that I'm here and not downstairs, helping everyone" Liam said copying the work.

Today they were going to have a get well soon party for his dad. Being in the hospital for days had brought everyone's mood down, so Louis suggested to have a party where all can enjoy, now that their dad was finally recovering.

"But you're his baby bro, you ought to do it" Harry said smiling and showing his perfect dimples.

Liam finally finished his work and sat with them on the bed, Coco immediately left Harry's side and snuggled into Liam.

"You always change sides" Harry grumbled at Coco, who ignored him and licked Liam's face.

Liam laughed at Harry's expression, "She's my pet, she loves me too much".

"Yeah, so how's life with your new boyfriend?" Harry asked, making himself comfortable on the bed.

Liam's face dropped at that, "I'm not his boyfriend" He mumbled.

''What? But you two are dating" Harry said, straightening up immediately.

"I know that, but he didn't ask me to be his boyfriend, we just said we liked each other" Liam said scratching Coco's ears. Zayn never asked him to be his boyfriend, only their friends and family know about them, nobody at school knew.

"Oh, Li come're " Harry opened his arms and Liam hugged him tightly with Coco beside him.

"I know he'd been busy with tomorrow's match the whole week but he still makes time for me. After every practice he comes here, to spend time with me, we talk about God knows what. If he wasn't here, I don't know how I would've survived. He takes care of me, but it doesn't feel like I'm a burden on him. He's just perfect in every sense. He compliments me every two minutes for God's sake, but I don't know what we are, more than friends? boyfriends?" Liam said sighing to himself.

"You don't worry about it, he'll ask you soon, he must've thought that you'd been busy with your family. You don't have to name your relationship, you know how much you love each other" Harry consoled him.

Liam pulled back at an instant looking at him in shock, "I know I do love him, but I can't say anything about him, what if he doesn't feel the same?"

"Nonsense! He looks at you like you are his moon and stars, I'm sure he's figuring it all out. Right now, this isn't your concern, you should spend as much time as possible together, know each other fully, other things can wait" Harry said.

"You're right, I'm worrying too much. By the way is the backyard done?" Liam asked.

"Almost, Lou sent me a photo an hour ago" Harry took his phone out and showed him a picture.
The backyard had a barbeque corner, a bar on one side, fairy lights of star shapes adorned above the garden, few tables surrounded by chairs. The entrance of the backyard decorated beautifully with flowers.

"It's beautiful, they've really worked hard. Dad will be really happy" Liam said.

Just then, the door opened and a very exhausted Louis and Zayn entered.

They made space on the bed for the best friends, Zayn snuggling into Liam and Louis doing the same with Harry.

Zayn leaned forward to kiss Liam when Coco barked at him.
