Chapter 16

Liam opened the front door of his house and let Zayn enter behind him. He closed the door and looked at Zayn who went over to the wall filled with childhood photos of the Tomlinson brothers.

Zayn was looking through all the photographs when Liam came beside him and nudged his shoulder. Zayn wrapped his arm around Liam's shoulder.

"You looked so cute when you were little" Zayn said pointing to a photo in which Liam and Louis were in a swimming pool. Liam was in his swimming ring while Louis was wearing a vest, both were smiling at the camera.

"You mean I'm not cute now" Liam playfully shrugged off his arm from around him and sat on the couch.

Zayn came to sit beside him, picking Liam up and settled him on his lap.

"You aren't just cute now, you're beautiful, you're incredibly sexy and hot especially tonight, wearing my jersey, it was meant just for you, boyfriend" Zayn said kissing his forehead.

Liam blushed furiously and tried to look at anywhere but Zayn.

"Where's Coco?" Zayn asked when he didn't see her running around.

"She's with our neighbour, since all of us weren't here, dad left her there. It's already late, I'll bring her tomorrow" Liam replied finally looking at him, playing with Zayn's jersey.

"Why didn't you ask me before?" Liam suddenly asked.

"Asked what?" Zayn questioned, furrowing his eyebrows.

"Umm, to be y-your boyfriend" Liam whispered.

Zayn sighed, "I wanted to ask you the next day after our date, but with your dad's heart attack, I knew how worried you were about him and then you both were trying to build your relationship again and I didn't want to come in between, but then I saw how insecure you became of us, how you were questioning our relationship, you think you can hide your hurt but you can't, i can read you so well now, so I finally decided to ask you, hope I was not late" He answered.

"You were late, but I forgive you. But it was too much, the whole school must be thinking what a hopeless romantic you are" Liam said kissing his nose.

"I can be whatever you want, babe" Zayn said, taking his glasses off ignoring Liam's whining and put it on the table.

"Why would you do that?" Liam grumbled, crossing his arms over his chest.

"Because I wanna look into your beautiful eyes" Zayn said, caressing his cheek.

"They are normal, nothing intriguing" Liam shrugged, he wrapped his arms loosely around Zayn's shoulder.

"But they're so pretty to me, I could look into the depth of your eyes, but still never get bored, they're the prettiest shade of brown" Zayn said lovingly.

"You're so cheesy, Mr Malik" Liam rolled his eyes and got off his lap, hoping to hide his flushed face.

"I'm gonna bring popcorn, we'll watch a movie" He said going into the kitchen.
He quickly made them and came back to Zayn who had switched on the TV and was now scrolling through Netflix.

"You found something?" Liam asked as he settled beside Zayn.

"You tell me, I'm confused" Zayn said wrapping his hand around Liam's shoulder, so that Liam was snuggled into his side, with the popcorn in between them.

Liam scrolled through many movies then settled with To all the boys, third part.

"And you say I'm a hopeless romantic" Zayn scoffed.
