It was another day that Susie had worked her ass off, and now they were at prom as a group.

Susie stood alone in the dark. She was watching the party while everyone else was enjoying themselves.

Noelle Holiday approached Susie. She looked around and started to seem embarrassed. "H-hey Susie…" she muttered. "Do you w-want to hang out?"

Susie looked down at Noelle. "What's up with you?" She asked. She looked down at Noelle.

Noelle looked away and continued, "I just wanna chat is all." She smiled at Susie, making direct eye contact once more.

Susie looked away and breathed, "Hm." She was absolutely exhausted. She found it stupid that anyone would want to have a chat with her.

Noelle looked away. "Sorry…" she mumbled.

Susie turned to Noelle. "Show a little backbone, Holiday," she stated. "You're tough, show it." She looked her directly in the eyes. "After that we can hang out."

Noelle nodded and took a deep breath. "Susie!" She practically yelled. "I want to hang out with you." She looked at Susie. Her determination shines brighter than the sun.

Susie looked at Noelle. "You didn't have to yell."

"Right…"

Susie took a deep breath. "I'll hang out with you," she stated.

Noelle smiled. "Maybe we could do it somewhere private," she said. "I wanna get to know you…" she looked at Susie.

"Yeah alright," Susie said.

The two exited the room, standing in the almost empty hallway.

Susie put her hands in her pockets. She started to sense how awkward Noelle was towards her.

"Do you have any friends?" Noelle asked Susie. She knew the answer to this. It was no.

"Yeah, Kris," Susie told her. "And some other people."

Noelle raised an eyebrow. "Who are the other people?" Noelle asked.

"A prince and a king," Susie said. "Lancer is my evil buddy, and Ralsei is just some dumbass in the Prophecy of the Deltarune, ya know?"

"Prophecy?" Noelle asked.

Susie looked around. "If three heros don't act against the angel, the world will be destroyed," Susie told her. "Classic tale whispered among the ruins of an old kingdom."

Noelle looked at Susie confused. "What did they put in the fruit punch?" She asked Susie. She was worried about how much Susie had drunk, and if she would be okay.

"They had fruit punch?" Susie asked her. "I didn't drink it."

"So what was that all about then?"

"It doesn't matter."

Noelle nodded. She didn't understand anything Susie said.

"What about you? Anything up with you?" Susie asked. She seemed to not care about this conversation.

Noelle stared off into the distance. "Well, I mean, I have a few crushes… specifically on this one girl," Noelle said.

"Oh," Susie breathed. She knew exactly what was gonna happen.

"How do I talk to girls?" Noelle asked. She looked Susie in the eyes. "I've done all the advice and you still don't seem to pick up that I have a crush on you." She sat against a wall.

Susie sat next to her. "Look, I'm literally shit when it comes to understanding emotions," she said.

Noelle looked at Susie. "That explains it all," Noelle stated.

"Okay, time for me to explain shit," Susie said. "I've had a crush on you since 6th grade." She smirked.

Noelle looked shocked for a moment until she grew curious. "How do you keep crushes so long…?" Noelle asked.

Susie shrugged. "I will never give up." She chuckled, which sounded more like nails on a chalkboard.

"Wanna just sit here and talk for a bit?" Noelle asked. She looked at the door that led to the gymnasium, which was currently hosting prom night.

"Sure," Susie stated.

Susie and Noelle sat there for a few hours. They chatted away as the night grew to early morning and all the teens exited the room for prom. They followed along and headed to their respective homes.
