Chapter 7

[Mason's Car If You Were Wondering]
Dakotah's POV

I don't know why Mason almost punched Adrian in the face. He seems to really dislike Adrian for some reason, even though he's the sweetest guy. (And pretty good looking too.) He seems to be making a lot of friends as well.

I have to talk to Mason and sort things out with him,I'll try to talk to him after school. As I'm doing my Math homework and thinking these things in my head I get a text.

Adrian: Hey, it's me

Me: Who's this?

Adrian: Adrian

Me: How did you get my number

Adrian: Man do you ask a lot of questions

Me: Whatever, bye

Adrian: By Dakotah ;)

I smile at the wink face he gave me and put my phone to the side. I finnish my last Math problem and turn on the T.V to watch Dance Moms.

Don't judge me! These twelve and thirteen year olds lives are pretty interesting. (Chloe is my fav.)

When Char get's home from school, we talk about our day and watch T.V together. I make mac 'n' cheese for dinner because it's both of our favorites and it's easy to make. At 10:24, we both decide it's time to go to bed, we say our goodbye's and head in differnt directions. I wish I could spend more time with Charlotte. I feel like a bad older sister and rolemodel. With mom alway's away and me in High shcool, I only see her on the weekends. I really hope that the lack of guidence she gets from both me and my mom, she doesn't choose bad desicions. I watch her close the door to her room, I finnaly go into mine. As I snuggle into my warm covers, I close my eyes. As I try to dream, I also think and hope Char is making the right desicions, but as I am, I'm pulled into a deep trance and fall asleep.

Adrian's POV

"So dad, have you decided who's gonna be on the team?" I was the coaches son after all so I at least get to know who's on the team. Right?

"I want to make it fair to all the kids that signed up." " I'm on the team, I knew it!" I say as I do a little happy dance.

"Don't get your panties in a wad son." My dad says. He's really wierd sometimes.

"Are you gonna tell me anyone else?" I really wanted to know if Dakotah was gonna be on the team. It would be really cool if she did.

"I told you already, at practice today you'll know."

"Fine, fine." I mumble as we make our ways to our cars. "Bye dad!" "Bye Ade!"

It's finnaly Soccer time and I my way to the field. I spot Dakotah and make my way over to her.

"Hey Dakotah." "Hey Ade, do you think I'll make it on the girls team. I'm really nervous and I don't want to mess up and Kat's really better than me and..."

"Dakotah chill. Your gonna be alright. Who cares about who's better than you or worse. I just matters on the sport and the passion you have for it." I really hope she absorbs what I said because I don't even remeber.

"Really?" she says. I wipe a tear from her cheeks that was falling.

"Really." I say. My dad blows the whistle and we all huddle around in a circle and wait for him to speak.

"These are the kids that made the Boys Stallion Soccer Team or BSST. Only eleven will be selected, aright. Please stand when your name is called."

I just noticed that he'll probably say last names as well. I really hope no one realises we have the same name.

If your name wasn't on the list, you can be on off-season." He says. I'm really glad he just went for the first letter of the last name. When I looked at the group of dudes that were in 'o-s' one of them really stood out. But I have to push that to the back of my mind right now because Dakotah's fate is about to be chosen.

I try to catch up with Mason as he was walking to his car. "Mason wait a minuet!" I say as he finnaly turns around. I bump into him on accident and mumble a sorry.

"Why have you been acting weird lately?" I ask him.

"I don't know, ask your new boyfriend." He says angrily.

" Is this all about Adrian, no wonder why someone's acting jelly." I say pointing to him.

"Maybe, just look Dakotah, I don't want you to be in a 'situation' that you can't get out of" He says using air quotes.

"What do you mean 'situatation'?" I say doing the same.

" I just don't want you hanging out with Adrian, Dakotah. He's really bad news. First he'll be all nice and considerate, then you'll start falling for him. After that he'll use you then dump you like trash, and I don't want that to happen to you. I've seen it happen a million times and then one day, he crossed the line completely with one girl. Now that I have you I don't want him to take that too." He says with tears in his eyes. " And when Adrian wants something, he gets it, and I don't want him too get you. Just promise me Dakotah, please."

I didn't know what to say. Was Adrian really like this? Is he trustworthy at all? Was what Adrian did really that bad? I pull Mason close to me as we hug, his tears going into my shirt. I never knew he had feelings for me.

"I promise." That is all I said to Mason. It was a promise I told but I knew I wouldn't keep.

Adrian's POV

I watch Mason and Dakotah talking then hug eachother. If he knows the real me then why can't he leave Dakotah alone untill I"m finnished with her? He better have not told her anything because that might ruin me and Dakotah's realationship and push me back two steps. I need to find a way to make Dakotah a little more vanurable.

This is gonna be hard for me to do but, sorry Dakotah.
