Morning with Mama

At 6:30am Maya's alarm began going off for her to get ready to go to work, so she swung her legs out of bed and made her way into the bathroom. Once she was dressed and ready for work she bent down to the bed and kissed Carina's cheek; the brunette's eyes fluttered open and she intercepted one of Maya's cheek kisses with her lips. "I'm going now," Maya said softly.

"Okay, I'll miss you" Carina replied, her voice laced with sleep. "Oh and send the twins in here if they're awake."

"I'll go and check on them now," Maya replied as she made her way towards the bedroom door. "I love you," she said as she turned around and then opened the door.

"I love you more," Carina replied with a smile.

Maya gently pushed open her daughters' bedroom door to find one empty bed. A wave of panic washed over Maya when she realised one of her daughters was missing but then she looked to the other bed to find both twins in there together. Maya's heart melted at the sight of them cuddled up together whispering stories to each other.

"Girls," Maya whispered loudly. The twins sat up straight in the bed with messy bed hair and looked at their mother. "I'm going now, babies."

"Okay, bye mommy" The girls replied and got out of the bed to hug Maya.

"I'll see you later," she said as she kissed the top of both of their heads. "And mama said you can go get in our bed with her if you want." The twins then ran off in excitement of going in their moms' bed. "Goodbye, my loves," Maya yelled as she left the house.

"Bye Mommy," the girls yelled back from upstairs.

Carina was now lay in the middle of her and Maya's bed with the twins either side of her body. "What do you want to do today, girls?" Carina asked her daughters.

"Make pancakes," Rosie said excitedly.

"Watch a movie," Ellie said.

"Okay. Well, it's still kind of early, so how about we watch a movie in bed now and then make pancakes after?" Carina suggested to the twins.

"Okay," they replied in unison. They decided to watch 'Despicable me 2' as they had watched the first one a couple of days before. The three brunettes snuggled together in the king sized bed and watched the movie.

As the movie was coming to an end, the characters were getting married which began to spark some questions in the small girl's mind. "Mama?" Rosie said softly.

"Yes my love," Carina answered.

"Are you married to mommy?" Rosie asked inquisitively.

"Yeah. I married Mommy ten years ago, before you were born. Why?" Carina answered, unsure of why her daughter was asking the question.

"I was just wondering. Can we make pancakes now?" She asked sweetly.

"Of course. We need to wake up Ellie." Carina turned her head to the side of to find her other daughter fast asleep next to her. "She's fallen asleep, Rosie." Rosie began to giggle. "We'll make the pancakes and then bring them to her when they're done."

"Okay." Carina then got out of bed and picked Rosie up to take her into the kitchen and left Ellie to sleep peacefully in the large bed.

When they got to the kitchen, Carina put Rosie onto the kitchen counter from where she was previously in her arms. She then went into the pantry and found all the pancake ingredients.

"Can we put chocolate chips in them?" Rosie asked sweetly.

"Of course we can, my love." Carina began putting the ingredients into the bowl and helping Rosie stir them together.
