Little Kevin sighed and headed to his room.

"What do you think you were doing?" Metuna accused, "I thought we would tell Kevin about everything when he grew up to be an adult"

"Yes but," Daniel continued, "Kevin is only eight. What if I tell him the truth about what I work for and about the universe as a ... fantasy story like a fairy tale maybe? And when he grows up to be an adult, I'll just say - Remember Kevin, when you were small and I said this? Yeah, well, that wasn't a lie. I won't have to explain it then if I explain it now !"

"Oh Daniel,"Metuna face palmed.

"I did the wrong thing teaching you how to face palm, didn't I?" Daniel said, "but may I say that you're doing it very accurately ?"

"We don't even know if Kevin has inherited any abilities from either of us," Metuna made her point, "is it still safe to reveal everything to him?"

Daniel listened to her statement and realised maybe there was a possibility that Kevin would not have any abilities after all. The very wonderful thing that happened to both of them was they were compatible to procreate a child but neither of them were aware as to how Kevin would grow up to be.

The next morning Metuna heard noises from the bedroom. Assuming it to be some construction work in the nearby vicinity, she ignored it. Until she figured out that it came from their house. Metuna followed the source of the noise which led her to the garage. She saw Daniel with some tools near the wooden table.

"Daniel !" Metuna called out, "mind if I ask what are you up to ?"

Daniel removed his hand from the piece of long wood carving.

"I am creating arrows," Daniel replied.

"But why?" Metuna asked

"It's for you. You haven't used your bow Kanikata in years. And I think you're going to need it soon."

"Daniel, it's fine. Is this because of your conversation with William the other day?"

"Well yeah. Sort of."

Metuna went to Daniel and hugged him from behind.
"I know you're worried but we'll be fine." she assured him.

"I know. I'm just worked up," Daniel held her hand.

Daniel took a pause and then resumed his work. A day later Daniel had made an arrow out of wood. But he saved that piece for later. He figured maybe he should buy some arrows with a quiver, for a time that will meet it's requirement.

It was in the month of April when Daniel was requested for another mission. Daniel thought he had been sitting around his house doing research for the class he took the next day for too long.

"Where is it this time?" Metuna asked curiously.

"Not far," Daniel replied, "I'll be leaving by tomorrow morning."

"Where's Kevin?" Daniel asked.

"He is just back from his detention"

"Detention? What?"

"I had mentioned it to you earlier," Metuna made a point.

Daniel stepped to the small room that belonged to Kevin and slid it open quietly.

"Mind if I ask what happened?" Daniel leaned against the door folding his hands on his chest.

"It was nothing serious Dad," Kevin slowly started, "the teacher noticed me whispering to my friend and got annoyed."

"And put you in detention?" Daniel completed the statement.

"Yes and then–" Kevin was interrupted.
