"When I got to know about my abilities, my claws, the moment I had to land into a fight, I knew that they weren't enough. There are people capable of doing so much more, like you. I like to push my thoughts aside and power through the situation because the truth is, it doesn't matter if your abilities aren't strong enough. I get a chance to save someone, or at least stall them till my partner comes over, because you're not alone. You are a part of something big and if you don't believe in yourself to do your best everyone, you will feel a little smaller than who you really are. If you just tried. I know if I was on a mission alongside you, I can count on you. I believe, with your powers you can do wonders." Jacob continued.
"I do not function alone, no one does, we're made in teams and you just haven't found yours." Jacob concluded.
"Maybe I'll–" Brock sighed "I'll join. I don't know. I've not been able to make any good decisions by myself."
"It is your sole choice." Jacob said, "I suggested you what I thought. It is your time to act on what's necessary. If not today, then may someday soon."
Jacob walked back to the passage of the pit, soon climbing to the surface. Jacob looked back, but he didn't spot Brock following him. Jacob figured that Brock had made his choice, maybe it was very sudden for him and he needed time to consider. He kept walking to the designated target location in search for Derrial.
Brock still remained in the Vannet Community under the ground. Jacob wasn't the first person to tell him that he counted on him, but he always acted on the worst, eventually ending up disappointing them. But maybe this time it was going to be different.
Jacob had the power classification table imprinted in his head. He was trying to figure out which category Brock fell into. Clearly his ability to suppress energy, and only energy, had only one nature. And the way Brock had used it earlier, it could not have been used in the forms of defence or stealth. It had only one form, which was total destruction. Jacob instantly connected to the One Nature - One Form bit. Brock was clearly a Soleret, he concluded.
Jacob arrived at the target destination, which was around the outskirts of the city. He was looking around for Derrial and he found him standing still at a faraway block.
"I can help you return back" Jacob stated
"You don't." Derrial replied, which didn't make any sense. It was like Jacob said, Derrial didn't speak much of our language.
"I don't out of where" Derrial replied, which again had no sense in it. Then we went on speaking in a weird accent, which Brock thought was the native language of his home planet
"I mean no harm. I can send you home. Do you know the coordinates of your home planet?" Jacob spoke softly, like people do when they want to tame an animal.
Derrial wanted no small talks and suddenly leapt on his legs, announcing a combat. Leaving Jacob no choice, he drew his claws out of his nails, until it reached the maximum capacity and engaged himself in the combat.
