The Origins of Ariana Dumbledore

Chapter 2.1

MACUSA

Ariana held back James when he tried to kill the tall woman and gave her an apologetic look, "I'm sorry. He just hates...um..."

"Apparating?" The tall brown-haired woman asked.

"Yep, he just hates apparating," she said, chuckling nervously.

She then hits James side after he continues to struggle in her hold and says,
"I'm still teaching him manners."

After the little incident, Ariana and James walked closely behind the woman and Newt.

She checked to make sure they were still there but just saw their impressive looks, which were aimed at the city.

It made her furrowed her eyebrows and she silently cursed because it had confirmed that they have never been to New York.

They had come to an ornately carved, incredibly tall skyscraper on the corner of a building street known as the Woolworth Building.

The woman was practically dragging Newt by the sleeve and had said, "Come on," tired of dragging him.

"Er- sorry but I do have things to do, actually," Newt replied.

"Well, you'll have to rearrange them!" Tina snapped.

She then pushed him across the busy traffic the twins followed closely not wanting to get hit by the cars.

The woman then looked at Newt confused, "What are you doing in New York, anyway?"

"I came to buy a birthday present."

James looked at his sister and whispered "a birthday present?"

Ariana just shrugged and whispered back, "I don't know but I'm pretty sure he's lying."

"Couldn't you have done that in London?" The MACUSA woman asked and they all arrived at the Woolworth Building.

Workers moving in, out, and as fast as possible.

"No, there's only one breeder of Appaloosa Puffeniks in the world and he lives in New York, so no.." he stopped when the woman brought him next to someone and he heard her whisper, "I got a Section 3-A."

The man nodded and opened the door and the woman said, "Hey by the way we closed that guy down a year ago. We don't allow the breeding of magical creatures in New York."

Ariana and James follow behind the two young adults. As the four of them enter, the whole entrance from the Woolworth Building transformed to the MACUSA headquarters.

The three prisoners took in the sight of the building, there was a vast impressive space with impossibly high vaulted ceilings.

On the ceiling way up, a gigantic dial with many cogs and faces emblazoned with the legend: MAGICAL EXPOSURE THREAT LEVEL. The hand on the dials points to SERVE: UNEXPLAINED ACTIVITY.

The twins both looked past it and saw a huge portrait of a beautiful woman named SERAPHINA PICQUERY, MACUSA President.

They both noticed the owls flying and people in 1920s dress are hard at work.

Tina guides the three impressed-looking people through the bustle.

The Dumbledores passed many wizards sitting in lines holding out the piece of stick that reminded them of Newt's, getting wax, by the most disgusted looking creatures.

They both stopped and stared, blinking their eyes in shock. They had reminded the both of them of mini goblins but had kept walking, after getting a glare from one of them.
