(My inspiration for this is back, sorry aha)

The forest is quiet.

Hinata would comment about it being too quiet, but that would be too cliche, wouldn't it? Anyways not much is happening right now. Let's skip ahead.

-

   "Finally found you!"

Hinata panics as two arms wrap around his waist and squeeze. He instinctively reaches for one of his daggers but is caught by the wrist.

"Calm down, it's just me." Komaeda huffs.

The brunet instantly relaxes, panic turning to annoyance as he recognizes the demon. "Oh, it's you. What the hell are you doing here?!"

"You left the village," He replies simply, "I missed you."

"You saw me yesterday. And you're annoying. Shouldn't you be back with those demons hell-bent on plunging the world into despair or something?"

Komaeda moves away and floats next to him and Villanelle lazily, wings blowing in the wind. "I don't need to be there all day every day, Hinata-kun. Besides, I wanted to see what you were up to and where you were going."

"What do you care what I'm doing?"

Komaeda rolls his eyes, putting his hands behind his head. "Didn't I tell you I find you interesting? You're so full of hope and I want to see what you do with that hope."

"Aren't you on the side of despair?"

"Who cares what side I'm on! All that matters is the result. Now, where are we going?"

"I'm going to kill a werewolf. You're going home."

Komaeda lazily circles him as Hinata continues down the path at the same pace. "Nah, I don't feel like going home. Besides, I'm not leaving you on our first getaway as a couple!"

"In your dreams. People would judge if a supernatural monster, whatever hunter, dated a demon."

"That's your first issue with it?"

Hinata smirks. "Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't particularly like you and I'm still going to kill you-"

   "I've heard that before."

"But I don't have a problem with you know, being with a guy. Our village is extremely accepting and I've got the hardcore gay."

"Good to know, but you still won't be able to defeat me."

Hinata roughly pulls on Villanelle's reins, getting her to come to a stop, Komaeda floating closer curiously. The brunet dismounts and ties her to a branch before turning to face Komaeda/

"I'll beat you right here right now." He declares.

Komaeda floats back to the ground with a smile. "Oh? Are you going to try killing me again, beloved hunter?"

"I won't kill you; you still have useful information, but," He draws a dagger, "I'll still prove I can beat you."

The demon extends his nails. "So we're really doing this again? After I disarmed you so quickly? Maybe we should just start with no weapons."

   "Fine. Then no powers."

   "Fine. Ready, go!"

   "Wh-"

Komaeda lunges at him and Hinata barely avoids losing his head as the demon breezes past him. The human moves to target his opponent with his dominant hand (his left, only the best people are left-handed) but Komaeda ducks easily, faster than the human eye. He tries again with his right hand but he once again ducks.
