Adelina Acosta was always a sweet girl even though her family was sometimes violent.
She never thought she would find love and comfort after her parents passing.

Adelina sat in the living room. She was flipping through channels, not finding anything interesting. She sat up and sighed walking over to the kitchen phone.

Adelina wondered what was going on with Ramón. He usually called to say good morning but not today. She thought that maybe he would be busy with business but she didn't know.
It was very hot outside so Adelina thought about getting some ice cream. She was also craving it. But it would also help to distract her.

Adelina watched the kids run around chasing each other. She always wanted to have child but didn't know if now was the right time.
Her eyes were peeled away from the children to a tall figure standing in the middle of the park. She was shocked to see him but what shocked her even more was that Ramón was hanging up.. a fish.
Then shooting sounded and screams were heard. Everyone flinched or ducked at the noise. Adelina was scared but not because of the noise. But of Ramón actions. Adelina knew their was one person to call about this.

"I mean I didn't think this would happen, but it's Ramón. You never no what to expect."
"Well he is your brother, no? Did you not suspect anything?"
"Ehh..not really. He might just be in one of his moods. Don't worry Adelina." Benjamín assured the girl.
Adelina sighed and sat back, "ok. ok. But if anything bad happens, this is your fault! Ok?"
"Alright. Alright."
With that Adelina hang up the phone. She rubbed her forehead, groaning with the pain that was growing. She knew that stressing out wasn't the best option.
Adelina got up from the couch and walked to her room. She then made her way over her vanity. Adelina reached underneath and wandered her hand under. She stopped once she heard a click. As she opened the secret space, a nice textured photo slipped into her hand.
She slowly brought her hand out from under the vanity and stared at the photo. It was black and white of course, but it wasn't just a usual photo you see with people in it.
It was an ultrasound
She went to the doctors two weeks ago since she was falling sick.
